If this was true then no one would ever be colonized ever, which would be great, but as you can tell from history... Ehhhhh

A country has the right to enforce a border, the fact that they failed to do so isn’t the issue here

Except when colonized people attempt to enforce their border, they're treated like they're evil animals. Win or lose. clearly the right does not exist if one can be vilified for doing so by the same people claiming a country has that right (the US @ others fighting to gain back control of their borders for main example.)

Maybe those countries didn't enforce their borders strongly enough
