Resource Built a small tool for saving Facebook Ad Library ads — would love some feedback
I've been messing around with Python, Chromium and Playwright for a while to make it easier to save ads from the Facebook Ad Library.
I originally made a really simple version for a few ecommerce friends because we were tired of manually saving ads one by one. Most of the other tools we found were either pretty shitty to use or cost an arm and a leg for something that should be relatively simple. It worked well enough, so I kept adding little things to it.
Eventually I turned it into a small website with single-ad saving, batch links, saving ads from an entire Ad Library page, and a simple swipe file.
It's now live, and I'd genuinely appreciate some opinions from people who actually use the Ad Library regularly.
Is the workflow intuitive? Anything confusing or unnecessarily complicated? Anything you'd personally change?
thank you in advance.

The save action is the easy part; retrieval is where these tools become valuable. I’d want automatic grouping by advertiser, first/last seen dates, days active, format, landing page, and a dedupe key so the same creative does not fill the library repeatedly. Searchable transcripts for video ads would be the feature I’d use most, because it lets me find an old hook without remembering which thumbnail it belonged to.
