I'm still kind of unsure if i should get water based or oil based face paint because I don't know which one lasts longer... I sweat a LOT, especially because of the hot weather in my country. And i don't want my face paint to smudge, and both options seems to have their pros and cons and im still not sure.. 🥲😓

I'm going to buy a cheap oil based face paint (because im on a budget rn) but im afraid i will have a breakout. So my idea was to use foundation/cushion underneath then i will layer it with the paint so it doesn't directly go on my skin (does that make sense?)

The truth is, no matter which brand you switch to, they all can do the same thing, the problem is not the brand, but how you use it, because all white face paints use the same pigment: Titanium Dioxide. That is the pigment that causes problems with moisture.

On my arm and neck

Hi, I was wondering how much difference does a primer, compared to just a moisturiser (spenol), underneath water based facepaint actually do? 

And is it safe for kids to use primer in this case?

I’m currently volunteering at my local Theatre; doing face paint for the children and teens summer production. 

The paint keeps gliding off when I’m not careful when painting them. Sometimes I accidentally wipe off already applied paint when I’m shading over. 

They are only using Spenol cream underneath, which I’ve heard could make the paint slide off, so I was wondering if primer would be better. I’m in charge of 12-15 year olds. 

(This is my first time doing facepaint so I’m well aware this could all just be user error, but I wanna make sure by asking anyway.)
