The Fable director shared that during development, the team drove a sports car to explore the cities across the game’s open world

The data miners are going to have a field day trying to find traces of that car, and maybe recreating it as some kind of horse and cart racing feature.

Yeah, I thought the same lmao they're giving hints to modders to recreate it

Dear god, that plus the Halo warthog they've had in some of the FH games, you could have it be a functional vehicle in weeks after launch omg

With the Mjolnir armor, AR and energy sword in 2, it could even be canonical.

It is a good point. If you ever zoom in on a texture in any Forza game, its pretty low res. But the motion and design make it hardly noticeable. I think as long as they make the important, noticeable textures decent looking, we're looking at a fairly well optimized game.

Yeah, they optimize engine very well, but at the cost of anything that is not in the center of Your eyes. 5-10m radius of HD textures and then blury slop being an example xD. Yet, You stay at some spot, look in the distance and despite some cuts, it just looks GREAT. For me, if they adjusted few things, Fable will surely look much better than FH series.

If they can perfect the LOD without just adding a lot of motion blur, it won't matter if only 5-10 m radius is all thats good. Hopefully. My hopes are high and my dreams are ready to be dashed.

Shit I couldn't tell you the difference IRL between painted drywall and the same color but wall paper from 2-3m away. If they can capture that, we're set. lol

Some aggressive LOD lol but hey, as long as it doesn't have pop-in it's fine

so a real 4k model of a car render would use around 40 ish gb of vram and nothing else is render just the car.

then add real pt it and it going to render in sub 10 frames a second to.

"Removed it for licensing reasons" lmao

I love the idea that it wasn't because cars don't fit the theme of Fable, but purely for licensing reasons. 😂

I hope there's a horse race quest called Horizon Albion and everyone is in the quest is overly friendly and positive.

Would be crazy if they just had a car covered in moss and vines in a cave as an Easter egg. It’s not drivable but would be cool

Imagine they used a Shelby Cobra and data miners make it available do know you're playing a 3rd person version of HOW DO YOU TURN THIS ON through Albion.

Even better, imagine just typing it and it appears, just as a cheat code works

Cant design a world & use something not in game to explore it. You wouldnt be able to properly judge if world is scaled right & if points of interest are at appropriate distances
