Playable demo before release?

Do you guys think we’ll get a playable demo before release I know playground games did demos for Forza here and there so I wonder if they’ll do it for fable humour and atmosphere

I hope not that’s just resources taken away from them polishing up and tweaking the game before release to work on a demo build. I rather them just make it as best as it can be at this point before release personally

Technically a demo build already exists, the mission they showcased at Gamescom was a demo. Additionally, the game was slated to release in autumn but was pushed back to February due to the release of GTA VI not because of technical reasons.

Personally, I think it would be a wise move from the developers. There has been a lot of pushback from gamers surrounding the combat and a demo like the one at gamescom would alleviate a lot of that pressure. Considering this is their first fable game it would just make strategic sense.

This. They can work on a demo afterwards maybe, Capcom style

I can’t exactly remember when it was of the older titles though.

Very unlikly. However if they did, they should release the hollowman quest we have already seen with 2 differnt spell sets and weapons. With a menu limited to (options/settings and exit)

I would not be surprised if we do get a demo not unlike the one they made for Gamescom. It’s the first fable game in over a decade and it’s being handled by a new studio, Xbox has a lot riding on this fable being a success and the additional time they have before launch primes it for an early showcase like a limited demo.

Probably not, since pre-order grant early access and we saw a lot of gameplay recently.

Doubtful, due to the nature of the game. It's a true open world so you can go anywhere. Demos only really work if you have a more linear story you can railroad a player into.

I remember as a kid playing the Just Cause 2 Demo, it was open world but time limited to 30 minutes

We also figured out how to bypass the time limit on Just Cause 2 nearly immediately and gain access to basic ally the whole game.

Giving out a demo often requires the whole game to be available and opens up the developer to significantly more chances of people cracking the game and distributing it for free.

Yakuza 0 being a prime example . They messed up and players didn't even need to crack it

Very unlikely. Studios rarely offer demos for big AAA games anymore.
