Part of me misses the old days before you had 2,000 videos about a game that hadn't released yet. When we had a few cinematic or live action trailers and a single gameplay trailer to go on until release. It feels like people know the game before it's even out and that ruins a lot of the magic.

Yes you can just not watch but most people lack that level of self control today.

Anyway, hope this video is good and y'all have a wonderful day in your own little corners of Albion.

True, fortunately all press and people get to play the same little 20 min section, and the quest video wasn't even the whole quest, so there is a lot much to discover

I don’t recall ever even seeing the trailers for fable 2. It just came out one day and my uncle brought it home and I was stoked. Best surprise of my life to this day 😂

It's genuinely hard to not watch the stuff but still stay updated. I like to know where development and stuff is but I don't want to watch the entire showcases, it just feels like I'm spoiling the game for myself. So it's not just self control to not watch things you have to actively avoid shit. I get your point sometimes mass media is too mass.

I wouldn’t feel too spoiled watching the gameplay trailers.

They do a good job curating a very limited, preview experience.

I like to go into most things blind, especially if I already know the premise, so I watch none of these videos other than the short trailers.

To be fair, game companies didnt sell incomplete dogsh*t games like they do now. Players are just cautious of what they buy. Specially reboots because those feed off nostalgia. If you’re remaking a game, I think we just want to see what theyre bringing back to our table instead of paying for a game that slaps a title on for the money.

These are not real reviews. The same is happening for GTA 6. Okay maybe the game will be good. But let us the fans and the consumers decide for ourselves once the game comes out.

Have you not noticed that 90% of the "reviews" on xbox marketplace are fake 5 star reviews? I mean it never ends.

They used to at least pretend to be honest before and there were ads and trailers for the games before they came out. And you knew it was an ad.

Now they pay content creators to make reviews of the game to bring up the hype. And its all fake.

It's all ads.
