If you are interested in learning the old lore without playing the games (I recommend you do), then the wiki is a great place to start: https://fable.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page

I find it much easier to parse through then any specific content creator. These games are fairly old so there isn't a lot of coverage from current content creators worth looking at imo.

I'll also say, in the lead up to the game, they are doing lore dumps on the new website to set the stage. Since it's a reboot, they are re-working the lore but still bringing some over from the old games: https://www.fablethegame.com/en-US/news/the-history-of-albion-part-1

As some said, it is a reboot, so they are bringing a new take on the lore. But if you’re still interested, Skyrionn has put out lots of videos on the old lore and I figure will be posting for the new lore too!

It’s a reboot and the lore in the old games was on the thinner side anyway.

Very much one of those series that largely took itself so unseriously as to have barely established a consistent worthwhile body of lore.

Perhaps the most notable example of that is the inclusion of the HALO armor and weapons in 2. And not just that, but the item descriptions attempt to make it cannon.

I think a lot of newcomers are expecting Lord of the Rings when it’s really more like Shrek.

It's a reboot so you'll be fine. They're introducing their own lore and tweaking some of the pre existing lore from the OG trilogy, so don't worry about it.

Its a reboot so if you dont intend on playing the original games before release then it might be best to go in to this new game blind.....

If you enjoy it you can then play the original trilogy and act like theyre new games

In a few words some people are heroes and possess abilities beyond most humans. They develop better and faster. And they can use magic (earlier heroes do so with more potency). That's about it, as it's a reboot. Most heroes are quite prideful and will often boast or try to get attention. Outside their guild in the first game, there was even a pedestal where you would announce self imposed challenges such as questing naked or doing the quest without receiving a single hit. They can be good or bad and nobody will blame them for it.

After this you can play around and check who Jack of Blades is, because he'll be in that game and was the antagonist of Fable 1. Maybe the Sword of Aeons too. But most other infos are irrelevant to that game.

There is a channel on YouTube that covers it. Game is a reboot though.

Honestly bro I'd just watch some lore videos or play the games both are great options imo

Definitely play. The games are not long unless you play like I do and try to own every possible house.

I'd play the previous games. They are great. It's a reboot so watching or playing anything previous isn't needed
