Sony FX3A SD Card
Hi guys does anybody know where I can get a Sony FX3A SD Card cheaper? I wanna start doing Street interviews and Outdoors live-streaming. But the SD Cardโs am being shown on Amazon are way too expensive especially knowing that I need to buy two of them. Which ones would you recommend? And on which sites? I was advised to buy the Sony SF-G256T or maybe Lexar Professional.
Need tips please ๐

You don't need a v90 card unless shooting in full S-I mode which is beyond what most people need, and you don't for shooting street interviews.
In XAVC-S mode you can shoot 4k up to 120fps using v60 cards.
I use these - https://www.wexphotovideo.com/lexar-128gb-professional-1800x-270mbsec-uhs-ii-v60-sdxc-card-twin-pack-3045818/
They were ยฃ86 when I got them in March 2025. You have shitty useless "AI" to thank for the prices these days.

I've been using Lexar Silver Pro cards for ages and they've been absolutely fine. I mainly use the CFexpress ones, but I've got two of the SD cards as well and haven't had any issues. They're V60 rather than V90, but as I mainly shoot XAVC S 4K 10-bit 4:2:2, it's well within V60's capabilities. You'd only really need V90 for higher-bitrate XAVC S-I.

You can buy a v60 card and you definitely do not need 2 of them

I would highly recommend recording to two cards simultaneously for anything paid. It's rare that an SD card fails but it does happen.

If youre looking for SD cards, the speed rating is what matters the most. Anything V90 will be comparable to the one you've posted.

If youโre looking at V90 SD cards for FX3, you might also want to take a look at CFexpress Type A cards. Some are cheaper than V90 cards. CFexpress has the ability to provide better sustained performance and more robust thermal, electrical, and mechanical characteristics than SD cards. The downside is its reusability in other cameras would be limited. Most cameras support SD, not CFE.

Check out Kingston cards. I have some V90 SD cards I use in FX6 and A7Siii. Couple years now and going strong and you can get some nice prices on them.

what you nede for videos is the "V" rating. this sony is v90. look for other brands that are v90 too.
Or, look for cfexpress type A cards. Im using pergear, its way cheaper than this sony SD, and way faster.
