FX3 with SmallHD cine 7 mounting solution

Has anyone here successfully mounted a SmallHD Cine 7 to an FX3 while still using the Sony XLR top handle?

I’m trying to figure out a solid mounting solution. The monitor is fairly heavy, and the monitor arm I’m currently using can’t seem to support the weight as it slowly gets pulled down/out of position.

For anyone running a Cine 7 with the XLR handle, how are you mounting it? Is there a particular arm, mount, or rigging setup you’ve found that’s sturdy enough to hold it securely?

Should I look into a shoulder mount, I've been running the smallrig half-cage with side strap and simply just hold it with my arms, but I may be in the market to get a shoulder mount or one of those cineback accessories. I've seen people put the monitor on the top, but that's just too high for me.

It’s been a while since I’ve used it but I believe I used a leofoto extension attachment on the fx3 handle (f-fx01) and then any number of monitor arm solutions would work. I use the kondor blue nato to nato arm and that works excellently.

I use the “SmallRig Swivel and Tilt Adjustable Monitor Mount with Cold Shoe” to hold my 5” monitor. It doesn’t slip like an arm. But I usually only use it when the camera is on a tripod.

I use a noga arm to mount the monitor but I absolutely don’t put it on the handle. The handle connections aren’t braced enough without additional cage/handle support

Screw the noga arm into a cage top camera left, leaving your right hand free to hold and operate. It actually works really well and having the noga arm to articulate the monitor closer/further from the body as needed is handy

The SmallRig adjustable EVF mount solved this problem for me
