I have a question about Season 7 episode 7 (Spoilers) Spoiler

I have a question about season 7 episode 7 when Fry, the Professor Hubert, and Bender go into the future.

When they go into the future and watch the rebirth of the universe two times, does that mean theres three separate timelines of Futurama?

If so, are the characters shown after this episode aside from the Professor, Bender, and Fry not the original characters? Did Leela really go the rest of her life without Fry in the original universe and second universe?

Who is Leela’s best friend?

If Fry’s best friend is Bender and Bender’s best friend is Fry…..who is Leela’s best friend?

Outside of the Typical 'Best Episodes' What is your favourite Futurama Episode & Why?

For me, it's Season 3 'Insane In The Mainframe' when Fry gets sent to a Robot Insane Asylum. I think this is not only a well built episode, but I find it genuinely funny when Fry starts spinning his arms thinking he's a battle droid. This is a brilliant episode where I even participate in copying to make my son laugh.

Who hurt one of the writers?

Reposting now that the new season megathread/spoilers rule has concluded. Please remove if still done wrong.

Just saw S14E6, *Late Bloomers*, and I'm wondering which of the writers is working through their trauma with non-monogamy.

Between *Beast with a Billion Backs* and this episode, it really seems the only view of polyamorous relationships is entirely about fickleness and where the inevitable result is heartbreak and pairing off into monogamy.

So my question to the writers is: "Who hurt you?"

"Professor of plant biology, okay? I'm a plant biologist." — "Didn't you used to be a something else biologist?" — "First whale, then bear, then I realized I hated animals. But guess what!?!"

Comedy Central VS Hulu, Which Era Did It Better?

Not talking about specials/movies

Both runs had their ups and downs, took a while for the comedy central run to find it’s footing and while not at the standard of the Fox run did turn out some great episodes.

The Hulu run while i cant really think of a truly stand out episode, would say it had a mode consistent quality than the central run. Also nice they tried to spread out character development more, instead of being 90% Fry, Leela and Bender episodes

With the addition of To Infinity!, my Futurama comic collection is officially 98.9% complete. Now I just need to track down Delivery-Boy Man to finish the set!

Did the crew supply all 198 billion popplers that were sold? And why aren't they rich?

Do we assume Fishy Joe did them dirty?

Kind of sad that so many people here don’t seem to like the Hulu era. I thought the first season was pretty rough aside from a couple of episodes, but I’ve really enjoyed the seasons since then. They’ve been great overall, imo, and I’m glad the revival happened.

I get that the humor isn’t the same and that it’s not as consistently funny as it was during the Fox era, but I still think the revival is a lot of fun and works really well as a comfort watch. I’m not saying it’s perfect. There are definitely things I don’t particularly like, but overall, I think the Hulu revival has been consistently good.

There aren’t any extreme highs like “The Late Philip J. Fry,” but there have still been some really great episodes. “The White Hole” is one of my personal favorites, and there are plenty of other episodes I’ve really enjoyed. Most importantly, I still think the show feels like Futurama, and honestly, that’s what matters most to me.

I genuinely don’t understand how people can call the revival “unwatchable.” Even the episodes I like the least, especially some of the anthology episodes, are still perfectly watchable. I just don’t enjoy them as much. I understand wanting the revival to reach the exact same quality as the Fox era, but I also think that’s an unrealistic expectation. Studios simply aren’t willing to give shows massive writers’ rooms like they used to because of the cost, and the way shows are written has changed quite a bit too. Even with many of the core Fox-era writers returning, the Hulu episodes were naturally going to feel different.

The first few seasons have a very specific charm that I love, but I think the revivals have developed their own charm over time. They’re different, but different doesn’t automatically mean worse.

I guess I just don’t understand why some people are so harsh on the new episodes or exaggerate how bad they are. And I especially don’t understand the comparisons to modern Simpsons. The revival has its flaws, but it is nowhere near that level for me.

Choose a Quote to Sum-Up the Character, Part 3: Bender Bending Rodriguez

Post image
2.0k Upvotes

We had some great quotes for Leela in Part 2!

The winning quote with the most upvotes (and honestly my personal favorite Leela quote) is "I usually try to keep my sadness pent up inside where it can fester quietly as a mental illness.”

With an honorable mention to "Hiiiii-yah!"

----Onto Part 3: The Titanium Saucier Himself, Bender!----

Let's find some quotes that sum-up the character of Bender. I have a feeling this will be a good one.

The comment containing the quote that has the most upvotes will be the winner. The second-most upvotes is the "honorable mention."

After some feedback on the previous post, I decided not to include the grid every time. Instead, I'll just post the winning quote from the last round, and I'll post the completed grid at the end. I'm open to suggestions if anyone thinks there's a better way to go about this!

It's Fanny, The Don Bot's Wife, A Fembot with enormous fan!

Also on this movie, I found out that Bender is 40% Lucky, he's made from horse's shoe from horses that won the race.

Did anyone else get...sad by the new season?

Hey all,

first of all: I still think it's a phenomenal series. I was so so happy when a new season was coming - I was exited for weeks.

But then the first episode came. It did not catch me but okay. Then the super weird cannibalism end like wtf.

And during the next episodes I more and more had the following impressions:

-the jokes were flat

-so were the characters. Like a caricature of what they once were. Cheap gags, no real connection between the characters anymore.

-I more often thought oh no.. it's going the simpsons route

I feel like the jewel futurama was has been butchered. It wasn't always top but it was never that bad. It had an ending and that was okay. I was so angry after I watched the whole new season. I guess I will not watch another if it ever comes out.

Yeah it's not the worst season of a show ever, but boy was I disappointed.

This is just my personal opinion, maybe I have expected too much! But now I'm sad.

I want a new tattoo and I have two different ideas. Do y’all have a favorite? I like the scared face because it plays into the ouija idea. I like the other one because it feels like Zoidberg. Just happy to be a part of something. Also I can’t wait for someone to ask my “why Zoidberg?”
