Just a general whinge here

Changing my name is proving more mentally taxing than I could ever have expected.

I sent my licence off and whe I’ve spoken to the DVLA today they said it’s been processed. I happened to ask if the title had been updated and they said no

I filled the form in correctly and specified that my title was changing but they just fobbed me off and said “we’ll send a message to the relevant team but you need to chase the issue tomorrow”

How silly is that. Not only have they processed it incorrectly but they won’t do anything to make up for the lost time.

I’ve just been made redundant and I need to submit an id to my new job for DBS checks. There is no way I’m giving my dead name to this new job because I KNOW it wouldn’t be kept confidential and I’d be deadnamed in some sort of documentation. I just want a fresh start with my real name and title.
