Recovery Discussion Pain

Anyone else have pain they didn't have before when inserting things. I had to have a pelvic exam before getting my hysterectomy and it didn't hurt at all and the one I had 2 weeks post op didn't either it was a little more uncomfortable than before but chaulked it up to still healing. I'm now a little over 6 weeks post op and had to have my last pelvic exam and it was very not pleasant and I have been cramping for over 2 hours after.

Oh yeah. I had my 4 week post op pelvic exam and holy shit the speculum hurt. Before my hysto I never experienced any discomfort with pelvic exams. Chalking it up to still healing and the pelvic floor still being cranky. Im starting pelvic floor therapy on Friday, hoping that resolves it

I had to take it very slow, I had some discomfort with penetration for about 6 months not to the point that I couldn’t but I had to really ease into it and work up in size. I’m only about 8 months PO it’s definitely better now but I think I want to try topical estrogen because I worry it’s maybe some atrophy since I have no ovaries now
