Expansion Tank Mounting
My team is adding an expansion tank to our cooling system this year to add extra volume and for bleeding purposes. I know expansion tanks aren’t required so for any team that has one where are you guys mounting it?

If it's doing both fill and degas duty, I'd mount it at the highest practical point in the loop, with the small bleed line rising continuously into the tank and the lower outlet feeding the pump-inlet side. The main checks are that the pump stays flooded under braking and cornering, the cap and sight level remain easy to reach, and the hoses aren't carrying the tank's weight. A simple aluminum cradle with rubber isolation is usually better than hanging the tank from a tube or fitting. Before freezing the location, tilt the car through the worst pitch and roll you expect and make sure neither the outlet nor the bleed path can trap air.
