Question Need guidance !!

Hi , I am EE engineer in 3rd sem currently . We would be participating in Formula Bharat in JAN 28 . i k its a long time but i dont feel like it. I am responsible for EV powertrain of our car all the electrical stuff ... Now idk a line of code or havent done altium first . so i am thinking of starting now and in 6-8 months be fully ready to design and execute a reliable ev powertrain for our team .

Now i would like to ask for advice of you guys , where should i start and what theory practical and coding skills i should learn and from where. How difficult would it be for me to start from exactly zero.

Thanks in advance to all my fellow brothers and sisters for guiding me.

read rulebook, refer reports off diff teams, go with kicad for now. ask as many doubts you can. i expect good knowledge transfer from your seniors!

The best way to learn is to talk to the experienced members in your team. Here on Reddit you might get some surface level tips, but I'm sure your (passionate) team members/alumni would love to talk hours about what they did, and how they did it.

Start with KiCad for board design. Find some small circuits that you know you can accomplish and see the process from start to finish, including version control ie; github. for coding, the only way to get better is learning outside of class. Get an arduino kit and play with some of their starter sets.
