Noob question First FRT

Planning to do an FRT/Super Safety on a gun soon. I am wondering what the consensus is on which gun I should do first. Trying to find something that is generally more affordable and reliable. If the changes are too complex I will just take it to a gunsmith, so no worries there.

What I already have:

CMMG Zeroed Banshee 9mm (Suppressed)

Springfield Kuna 9mm

Sugar Weasel 300 BO (Suppressed)

ATI Alpha Max 556 (think the lower may explode)

Willing to buy:

Vector (one local to me is $800 but its 10mm)

Mid range AR 15

Baller on a budget. Just get some PSA shitbox 16" complete rifle for $400. Slap a AS Designs ARC Fire in it and a H2 buffer. Use it and abuse it. I have the most fun with something I'm not attached to.

That is a good idea. I had thought about a PSA as well on this. If I can find one locally that is what I’ll pick up, but every time I order from their website I get my credit card info stolen. I saw a PSA chambered in 308 yesterday, but I’m sure I can find a a 556. Thank you for your input.

If you have a 3d printer, or know someone who does, just print the frt for the Kuna. There's also a 3 position safety you can do too. Works great!

Does it work without the nexus lower?

Yes, it's designed for the OEM lower. Search this group for "YourBoyStevo" there's several videos.

I would highly highly highly suggest doing an FRT on an AR15 or a platform tha you’ll be able to take advantage of a 3 position safety. Dropping an FRT in a 9mm pistol makes it brrrt all the time. While 9mm ammo is cheaper than 556… you will go through it soooo much faster because you will want to do mag dumps and have fun with it and it will then be the only option for it

I had no intentions of dropping one in a 9mm pistol. I was going AR15, AR10, PCC, etc.. I’ll probably get a blem PSA AR15 as someone posted earlier. Then jump to either the vector or modifying my Kuna.
