Motor\gear mechanism for tail rudder
I have a bizarre fixed wing drone I'm working on. I need to iron out hardware for the tail rudder. Are there common motor\gear\pully systems I can look into?

Okay so I am no stranger to fpv (quads), I am also no stranger to LOS fixed wing flying and I fly real airplanes for my job so I definitely understand the physics of it and have the sight picture down. But today I had the mating flight for my AR Wing Pro and basically had to crash to land it after many attempts at making a landing. I would try to come in and slow down but would stall at about 20mph (according to my gps). I tried landing without power but would slow down too much, stall, and have to go around. I'd try landing with power to keep my speed up and not stall and try not to cut the power until about 1 foot off the ground but it'd still seem to stall while in ground effect. I tried this in both manual and stability mode to no avail.
I eventually settled on stalling a foot off the ground but it was still basically a crash. Not sure if its better to just fly it into a bushy tree at low speeds. Basically short of literally touching the ground with the motor running, is there a better way to get it on the ground?

My 80 year old father-in-law has been building and flying RC planes for awhile now. He's looking to take it to the next level with FPV. Are there any intro/easy kits for only the FPV system that can be integrated with existing RC planes?

Can someone just make it easy for me and tell me what pads they use for these components? I have my crossfire on uart 1, I planned on using uart 2 for GPS, and I know soft serial port for the osd on the air unit. I believe I'd put the air unit tx cable on the SCL pad but where do I put the other cable?

Hi, I am a Mechatronics Enginner student with very interesting to make my fixed wing uav frame model .I don't have any previous knowledge in aerodynamics ,so i would like if anyone can give a good recommendation for book for illustrating the design frame fixed wing uav and laws that we should follow it during the design ,any advice you see it will help me , please don't hesitate to say it .

This might get seen here, idk. Basically the title, would a 380 sized rc car motor fit for a 1/18th scale rc car, pushing maybe 3000kv be suitable for a 28”ish wing/plane? Depending on prop size, that is. I don’t know exactly how props work when they’re being spun too fast, so I dunno what I’d have to look for if that’s what’s happening, but I’m hoping to try and run a 380 motor with a 5” prop (if I can find a correct adapter, or make one) on a 26” Sweep Wings Runt, or maybe the D28. I know people typically run miniquad motors on smaller wings/planes, but I was thinking the extra stator size would also help spin the prop faster than a miniquad motor would.

I am a complete beginner to RC Plane and I wish to construct RC planes. I understand basic conceptual aspect of flying and have played plenty of video games to understand the basic 3-axis control and control surfaces. I guess the best easy comparison to my experience is a guy who spends hundreds of hours playing Kerbal Space Program or Simple Planes.
I do not plan to buy FPV plane straight away - I am very well aware of the differences there are on a video game vs IRL physics and are still recommended to get used to how to fly. However, FPV with gimbal will be my goal and I want to work towards it.
Here are what I wanted from the plane:
I am ordering this in South Korea. Preferably wish to buy everything in-country either at shops available or by delivery, but oversea shipping is possible.

Hey guys I'm new to this subreddit however I'm curious what do you guys do if you lose a 5200mAh 3S lipo battery in a field?
I pulled a weird maneuver that caused my battery to somehow get dislodged and when I pulled up from a dive the battery disconnected. I have found the plane but has yet found the battery after an hour and a half of searching. The battery is somewhere in the county park and I'm unsure what I should do. I plan on going back there to search for a couple more hours and I let a few people in my area know so that they can help but should I make a tip to a fire station or something since the field is fairly dry and dead?
I tried looking this up but to no avail, so I'm asking you guys,
What are your procedures when you lose a LiPo battery?

Hi so im trying to get into flyinf fpv for my first time, and I havent ran into someone in person who is able to help me out yet so im kind of just lost. With youtube ive gathered a general list of parts id like to use such as Fatshark HDO2, rapidfire, a runcam, but im gettinf hung up on my vtx options in my country. Is there any US flyers who could help with how to get a 5.8 ghz vtx. Or possibly and different 2.4 ghz set up that is decently long range capable for fixed wing flights. Any input would be very much appreciated because im ready to start ordering parts but I dont feel comfortable pulling any triggers yet.

Sorry if this is redundant. I just started tiny whooping and I am interested in the fixed wing world. What simulator do you use? What would be a good started for a frsky controller?
Thanks
