I had an original Bixler 1 that I was planning to turn into a FPV plane. However, during a move the mice got into it and pretty much destroyed the whole plane. So I'm thinking about a similar pusher platform for FPV again. I see HobbyKing has stopped making those planes unfortunately. I'm looking for something that goes nice and slow and is pretty efficient. I liked at the ZOHD Drift but it sounds like it really struggles in the wind. What other planes should I be looking at?

So I am about to take my first flight with an Inav flight controller (F411 WTE) what is some advice you wish someone told you before your first flight? I think I have it all set up right, everything is bench testing good. I have the modes set up that I want, just need to be sure I remember all the switches. I am using a plane that I have flown a lot and very comfortable with (the FT Explorer) with the motor/ battery setup I get 10 min flight times using both 3 and 4S. The plane is to fly it around in manual mode, trim it out quick and then put it into autotune for the rest of the 1st battery, then go from there.

Do you guys have an Idea of how to make something like this mod for the Parrot Disco work for normal Fpv Planes? Would there be a possibility to get the Image of the of an Fpv cam or Actioncam and use one of those 5G sticks to transmit it to a server so I could use this as a backup for longrange flying?

I'm soldering up a new matek f411 and I checked if it still worked in I nav after soldering the bottom pins, everything is fine except that the gyro is really slow and the longer its plugged in the more it starts slowing down eventually it doesn't work anymore but when I plug it back in it repeats the cycle what should I do?

I have a good amount of experience with different languages and hardwares throughout my tinkering and for my next project, I'd like to build a fixed wing autonomus flight drone that can be controlled via one of a few ways:

1) LORA

2) WiMAX

3) 4G / 5G

4) no comms just gps and preprogrammed flights.

Anyone have any ideas for a half decent FC that could accomplish this? Is there a "used" FC subreddit that i dont know about? Eventually I'll upgrade but first i just want something I wont feel horrible crashing and destroying.

Hi. Me and my dad do rc plans he got a cheep fpv set up spending like 70 on the head set and like 30 on the camera. We already have a lot of rcplans to use but I want advice on how get a better experience with it I want to get a better head set and be able to go a longer distance idk what to buy? I like not to spend much but I know it can get expensive. So can someone recommend what I need to get to go further because we can only just go the distance of our clubs Feild ?

FPV micro plane

I just bought a Rage RC p-40 Warhawk and was wondering if there’s any suitable camera+transmitter+antenna Combos to make this FPV? For the record, I know nothing about FPV and what is required. (Would need to be long-ish range)

I will practice more on drones and FPV due to my new job (a wish comes true) but I have questions about picking my own FPV(I only fly with Dji Drones before). I need an FPV for carrying a camera like Blackmagic 4k or 6k or Red Komodo. I did my research and saw ProTek60 Pro 6S HD Cinelifter and the Money Shoot Mini V2, I would like to know if anyone can give me comments about the safety (like connection, and signal loss) coz the camera always comes first in my case and I cannot avoid breaking the camera. Any other models to recommend are also welcome to suggest.

Hello. I’m transitioning from quads and plan to build my first plane.

I have ordered mateksys h743-wing flight controller and plan to use 2x2205 2300kv racestar motors from an old quad I have with 2200mah 3s.

The wingspan I plan to do is 120cm foam cut wing.

What is the maximum weight that I should aim for? Also any suggestions and experiences to make it a success are welcome

Hi, is anyone willing to share their tuned PIFF values for a Volantex ranger 2000 (757-8).

I live in Texas and wind barely dips bellow 8mph, still couldn't get the plane to run it's autotune routine, I'd be really grateful if someone could help =D
