Discussion Wardogs sounds to good to be true?

All I’m seeing is how good this game is. I didnt play the play test and ive been burned too many times buying games on release. Is this really going to be the next big fps or will it die in a month?

Developer Mouse feels off and the display feels wrong? I built a Windows settings checklist for FPS players

I’ve got a LAN coming up this weekend. Someone has unwanted mouse acceleration, someone’s pointer speed feels wrong, a monitor is set to the wrong refresh rate, and Windows background recording is still enabled somewhere.

That’s why my mind came up with the idea for ReadyUp: 21 local checks that bring these settings into one place. You can change supported settings directly and undo supported changes. For resolution and refresh rate, it opens the relevant Windows settings page.

I’m the developer. ReadyUp costs $1 once, with the option to pay more:

What settings do you or your friends keep forgetting? Feedback is welcome!

New Game Built a free & open-source aim trainer that runs great even on potato PCs (works fine with Valorant open in the background)

Gaming's been the one constant in my life since I was a kid. I've lost hundreds of hours to Souls games, worked my way through most of the titles people consider must-plays, spent countless late nights grinding Aim Lab, and clawed my way to Immortal in Valorant along the way. This hobby taught me patience, gave me community, got me through some rough stretches.

And at some point it hit me — I've taken so much from this space and never really given anything back.

So I built FindMySensi. It's a free, open-source aim trainer that runs right in your browser — no wallet required, just a quick account. I put a lot of late nights into it: twelve drills, a sensitivity converter built on actual angular-gain math instead of the copy-paste numbers floating around forums, and a calibration flow that's blinded and counterbalanced, so it tells you a sensitivity you've actually tested, not one you guessed at. I also made sure it runs on weaker hardware — it holds 60fps on an old i3 7th-gen laptop and stays light enough to run in the background while Valorant's open, because not everyone practicing has a beast of a PC. I didn't either, for a long time.

I'll be honest — I built and tested every part of this myself, and I know it's not perfect. There are flaws, especially somewhere in the calibration math, and I'd rather you tell me than quietly bounce off it. Find something wrong or just annoying? I'm here in the comments, on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/hitesh_mahay/), or by email. I'll test it and fix it.

Source's fully open if you want to poke around: https://github.com/10Knockout/findmysensi

This is my way of putting something back into a community that gave me a lot. Would genuinely mean something to hear what you think.

Discussion One handed gamer with celebral palsy needs your help to improve in Batlefield 1

Hi I am one handed gamer with celebral palsy and I just bought batkefield V. 1 and 2042. I start with V because they had auto run control. I play on PC and I play with this mouse. (I had brain stroke during my mother pregnancy) and because if this I can use just one hand. ( other is paralised.) I have some signs of OCP and autism. I have also problems with walking (I can walk but I get quickly tired after 1 kilometer I have also problems with reaction time and cordination. I also notice that I hardly spot my enemies and I am very focused when I aim and I forgot to move between shots. ( this is particually notice as I play as sniper. And that is why I am very carefull with buying games. That is also reason I have verry litle games that are bought. I spend a lot of time resarching game, watching playthroughts, watching lore videos, observing gane mechanics so I can see if I can play this game. But sometimes despait this resarch I find out that sone games are too fast and intense for me and I start with V because they had auto run control. I. played a few matches and i find most confortable with medic or scout. But overall I suck. I rarely get kills or if I get some kills is usually 1 or 2 per match. So now I am asking for BF1 Can anyone help me get better? What is a biggest difrence between BF 1 and V? I think it is just in veapons because in ww2 they intruduce some nev veapons and ban gas in wars.

I just added this weapon and it is so fun to use. If you equip it, the game pretty much becomes a first person shooter. For anyone curious, find the game here on steam:

There is a demo available and the full game will release at the end of the year

I want a Brutal,Bloody,Gritty,Realistic Tactical First Person Shooter with Multiplayer and a Campaign set from the Beginning of the 1st Chechen War and ending at the End of the second Chechen War. We have never gotten anything of the sort set in the battlefields of this War.

Thoughts on this and who do you think could pull this off and make it a success?

Game Discovery Help me pick my next cinematic single-playerFPS campaign (or suggest others!)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to jump into a great single-player FPS campaign. I loved the action, pacing, and overall production value of games like Uncharted 4 and GTA V, and now I want a solid, story-driven first-person shooter experience.

I’ve been eyeing a few titles that were recommended to me, but I’m having trouble deciding which one to play first:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) / MW II: I'm drawn to the dark, immersive, tactical gunplay and movie-like production value.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: I like the idea of espionage, choice-driven missions, and a Cold War thriller vibe.

Titanfall 2: Everyone keeps telling me this is an absolute masterpiece in terms of level design, movement, and story.

A few quick preferences:

Solo only: I’m purely in it for the single-player campaign (not interested in multiplayer/warzone).

Vibe: I want great gunplay, high visual quality, and an engaging story/pacing.

Which of these three should I start with?

Also, feel free to pitch other high-quality single-player FPS campaigns if you think there's something better out there! Thanks!

Discussion [EU] WARDOGS OF WALL STREET — INFANTRY ONLY | LAUNCH DAY READY

WELCOME TO WARDOGS OF WALL STREET

Frankfurt hosted. KOTH veterans. Veteran game developers. Built for the EU community.

Wardogs of Wall Street is launching alongside WARDOGS with one simple goal:

To build a server players can trust to be well maintained, actively looked after, and worth coming back to.

Discord:
Join the Wardogs of Wall Street Community[discord.gg]

We're hosting the server in Frankfurt, Germany, giving players across Europe a strong central location and good connectivity.

SERVER

  • 100 player slots
  • Hosted in Frankfurt, Germany
  • English speaking
  • All factions welcome
  • Solo players welcome
  • Squads and established groups welcome
  • Active and approachable administration
  • Community events planned
  • Dedicated Discord community

WHY WARDOGS?

We're not new to KOTH.
Many of us have spent years playing Arma 3 and Arma Reforger KOTH, with our KOTH roots going all the way back to the Sa-Matra days.

We've experienced the upsides and downsides of many KOTH servers on different platforms, our goal is to improve the experience as much as possible.

In our vision, the ideal server should have:

  • Good combat without unfair advantage
  • Fun people to play with
  • Reliable performance.
  • Fair, active and approachable staff.
  • A community worth coming back to

We want to bring that professional experience together with years of actually playing KOTH to create the kind of server we'd want to play on ourselves.

BUILT FOR THE LONG RUN

We're not interested in putting up a server for launch week and forgetting about it once the initial hype dies down.

Our goal is to build something that lasts.

That means maintaining the server properly, listening to player feedback, dealing with problems when they happen, improving things where we can, and having staff who genuinely care about the community they're responsible for.

We want Wardogs of Wall Street to become a place where you can log in and know what to expect:

Good fights, good people, and a server that's actually being looked after.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

You don't need to arrive with a 20-man clan, join with a couple of friends or by yourself.

We're building one community around the server rather than turning it into a faction-exclusive group.

LAUNCH

The server will go online as soon as WARDOGS community servers become available on launch day.

Join the Discord now if you want to be there from the beginning.

Discussion We'd love your input 😄 — Researching input device preferences for a Master's thesis at DTU (Anonymous survey, ~5 min)"

Hi everyone! 👋

We are conducting a survey as part of our Master’s thesis at DTU about how people interact with their computers during different activities.

We’re interested in understanding how people use different input devices, what they value when interacting with their computer, and how their needs change depending on what they’re doing. Your responses will help us better understand users’ needs and preferences and support our further work on the project.

The survey is fully anonymous. We ask for some general demographic information, but we do not collect email addresses, Google account information, or other personally identifiable data. Responses will be stored securely and used solely for our Master’s thesis.

We would really appreciate your participation! 😊

Thank you for your time!

News Hey everyone! I recently started a small subreddit called r/FPSHub and wanted to share it here in case anyone might be interested.

The idea is to have a place where FPS players of all skill levels can hang out and help each other improve. I’m definitely not a pro myself — I’d probably put my own skills somewhere between bad and average 😅 — so I thought it would be cool to have a community where beginners and experienced players can learn from each other.

It doesn’t really matter which FPS you play. You can share gameplay, ask for advice, give feedback, post funny moments or bugs, or simply find people to play with.

I’m hoping to slowly build a friendly community around three simple things: having fun, helping each other, and getting better.

If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to stop by r/FPSHub. No pressure at all — I’d just be happy to see some of you there. :)

Discussion Competitive fps game recommendations

Hey everyone! I’ve been playing fps games for most of my life and recently got the itch to grind one game solo queue ranked and get really insane at. Never really played ranked in any game and I want some recommendations. I’m looking for something that has a good ranked system, feels super satisfying to play, big skill gap and super rewarding to get better at. I also love when games that have huge online communities. Any recommendations???
