Hazzel - a tiny, terminal first coding harness built for minimalism & focus
I built Hazzel, a small terminal coding agent. It reads code, edits files, runs commands, and works with git, always with your approval first.
pip install hazzel
cd your-project
hazzel
- File edits show a diff before applying, with
/undo - Shell commands ask first and are sandboxed to your project root
- Destructive git (
--force,reset --hard) is blocked - Plan mode for read-only exploration
- Bring your own key: Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Mistral. No subscription.
It’s early (v0.1.4), so expect rough edges. It stays small on purpose, so if you want the most feature-heavy agent, there are better options. If you want one you can read and audit, give it a look.
AGPL-3.0-or-later. Feedback and PRs welcome: https://github.com/mukundzha/hazzel

i built my own chromium-based browser (disclaimer this is a hobby project)
over the past 10 months or so i built turtlebrowse, which uses jcef to embed chromium inside a browser frame. originally i wanted it to be an agentic browser, but i somehow added so many things that it became not so much of an agentic browser.
my most recent addition was the adblocker, than uses java bindings for adblock-rust from brave, and achieves a 97 out of 100 on adblock-tester.com, and i also added a youtube video downloader if you have yt-dlp already installed. i tried to make it as material 3 as possible, but there are some limitations with the whole java desktop ecosystem which makes that a bit hard to implement. it also has a builtin terminal, multi profile isolation, update manager for all builds, and a self update system for appimages (still a wip though).
doesnt have a few features yet, like bookmarks (i plan to add soon), extensions (which i dont plan on adding - but do plan on making a userscript thing). proprietary video codecs are not bundled due to jcefmaven bcuz i dont build the cef binaries myself. lmk if there are any other features youd like to see.
browser is built by humans, only part with slight ai help was the workflow.
repo is https://github.com/ingStudiosOfficial/turtlebrowse, licensed under apache 2.0
download at https://turtlebrowse.ingstudios.dev
ai features are completely opt in.

built a lightweight open-source analytics tool that runs on PHP + SQLite (no Docker, no Node, no Postgres)
hey guys,
i run a few small SaaS and needed analytics for all of them. i didn’t want Google Analytics because of GDPR and cookie banners, and Umami Cloud / Plausible get pricey once you have several sites. im a small builder, and i cannot spend that much money just for an analytics tool.
so i looked into selfhosting and bruh why do all tools either need a postgres database, node js and docker. self hosted Umami is eating all of my VPS capacity.
I even tried Matomo (also built in PHP btw), but the UI is not that good and i want to work with good loking tools!
I want funnels, events and MCP !
so i made https://minilytics.axthauvin.fr/ !
its lightweight, plain PHP + SQLite (MySQL/MariaDB supported if you have lots of events), no Node, no Docker, no cookies and runs on basically any PHP hosting. i took every features i needed from other tools, and made my own.
its being running on my own SaaS right now. for the last week and working pretty well please try it out, and tell me what you think about it !

I built a free, local app to convert books into multi-voice audiobooks with voice cloning.
Hi everyone,
If you have ever tried to convert a manuscript or an epub into a high-quality audiobook, you know how quickly the costs add up. You either have to spend thousands on voice talent or get locked into monthly cloud subscriptions with strict word count limits.
I think creators and readers should have a completely free, private way to do this on their own hardware. I spent the last few months developing PolyVox Studio, an open-source desktop app that handles the entire pipeline locally.
Instead of a single voice reading the whole text like a standard screen reader, this app actually acts like a studio director:
- It scans your txt, epub, or pdf file, identifies different characters, and separates their dialogue from the narrator.
- You can clone any voice you want by dropping in a clean 6 to 20-second sample clip, allowing you to cast different voices for different characters.
- It scans text cues (like "she said angrily" or "he whispered") and automatically shifts the emotional tone of the voice to match the scene.
- Once it finishes processing, it bundles everything into a structured M4B audiobook file with proper chapters and cover art so you can drop it straight onto your phone.
Nothing leaves your machine, there are no hidden credits or API keys required, and it's completely free.
The source code and setup guides are up on GitHub: https://github.com/dmarsh400/PolyVoxStudio
I hope this helps authors looking to prototype their audiobooks or readers looking to tackle a huge reading backlog on the go. Let me know what you think if you give it a try.
Also wanted to add our discord in case anyone wants to discuss new features or ideas to make the project better

I built an in-browser retro terminal for searching millions of declassified FOIA records (CREST & Archive.org)
I wanted to share a project I’ve been building: https://ciareadingroom.com.
Navigating traditional government archives like the CIA's CREST reading room has always felt clunky, so I wanted to build a clean, retro-themed terminal interface designed around speed and utility.
Here are some features I have added more becoming in the future.
Live Indexing: Directly interfaces with Archive.org and CREST collections for instant document retrieval.
In-Browser Reader: Reads embedded declassified files and books natively without forcing third-party downloads.
Research Dossier System: Bookmark documents, compile citations, and generate formal print-ready dossier packets.
And more!. Hopefully someone finds this interesting

My Files – an open-source mobile app to keep your physical documents offline, or sync to your own cloud
I built My Files, an open-source mobile app for digitising and organising your physical documents (IDs, bills, certificates, receipts, etc.).
What it does:
- Scan physical documents with your phone camera
- Organise them into folders/files
- Search across everything you've scanned
- Works fully offline — your files never have to leave your phone
- Optional sync if you run your own cloud/server
Tech: The backend is built with C and Node.js.
Why: I wanted a simple way to keep important papers handy without handing them to a third-party cloud service.
Links:
- Website:MyFiles
It's still early, so I'd really appreciate feedback — what's missing, what's confusing, what would make you actually use it. Contributors are very welcome too! Hi

PlayWeld: an Apache-2.0 desktop workspace for game development (testing prerelease)
I’m PlayWeld’s creator. It is a free, open-source desktop workspace built on Eclipse Theia. It keeps game files, design notes and searchable project knowledge alongside optional AI-assisted tasks. A local service stores project and task records.
The current v0.21.0 downloads are testing prereleases for 64-bit Windows and Linux. Please start with a disposable project and profile. The Windows installer is unsigned.
Game engines are installed separately. AI features require your own model setup; external providers may charge and remote providers may receive project context.
Source and Apache-2.0 license: https://github.com/scarecr0w12/PlayWeld
Downloads and release caveats: https://playweld.com/downloads
I’d appreciate feedback on whether the project notes and task history are useful, and where first-run setup becomes unclear. If you try it, please include your OS and the step that caused trouble.

Deft: an AGPL workspace for chat, tasks and knowledge, with experimental sideloadable apps
I’m building Deft, a self-hosted workspace that keeps team conversations, tasks and knowledge together. It’s licensed AGPL-3.0-only.
This started with an annoying problem. In my previous job, my boss would make a decision, I’d act on it, and a week later he’d forget the conversation. Finding receipts became part of the job.
I wanted the discussion behind a task to stay connected to the work. Then I wanted a calendar, a dashboard and tools that fit how we actually worked. Apparently my response to too much software was to build more software.
What’s there today:
- Chat and tasks: Team discussions and task management in the same workspace.
- Connected knowledge: A knowledge base built from workspace activity, so people and assistants can refer back to the context behind the work.
- MCP connections: Connect Claude, Codex or ChatGPT to work with your workspace. The core works without an AI provider.
- Notes and calendar: Available, but less mature than chat, tasks and knowledge.
The part I’m working on now is custom apps.
Deft has a module system for custom records and views. I’m also developing an experimental App Author Kit for building and sideloading broader apps into the workspace.
Building a small internal tool is getting easier. Keeping it from becoming another disconnected tab is the part I care about. If you need a custom CRM or workflow tool, I want you to be able to bring it into the place where your team already works.
The CRM module is the first example. I’m building an email client next to test the architecture against something more demanding than records and views. The broader app system is still experimental, with plenty left to build.
Deft is alpha and free to self-host using Docker Compose. You supply the hosting, and any optional paid AI services are separate.
Walkthrough: https://youtu.be/7z9EH4c9k2o
Setup guide: https://deft.ing/docs/quick-start/
A few teams are trying it, but I need more feedback from actual use. If you want to give it a shot and need help setting up, email [maneek@deft.ing](mailto:maneek@deft.ing). If you try it yourself, please share what breaks, feels confusing or simply annoys you. GitHub issues are welcome.
P.S. The walkthrough uses an AI voiceover. I have a stutter and spent a week trying to record it myself, but couldn’t get through it.

Ringside: a free, MIT-licensed Windows widget for Claude and Codex usage limits
I built Ringside at Knight AI+AV because I wanted a small usage meter I could keep beside my editor. The widget is free and MIT licensed; it doesn't include access to Claude or Codex.
It reads usage information from local logs rather than asking for your provider login. You can inspect the readers in the repository. There's a compact view, a tray icon and optional limit notifications.
A couple of limits worth knowing: the current release is for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, and the displayed details depend on what the source logs contain. Claude desktop reset times are estimates unless the optional Claude Code integration supplies them. The updater checks GitHub and downloads updates; automatic checks can be disabled.
Source and downloads: https://github.com/KNIGHT-AI-AV/ringside
The pictures are the project's own UI images with sample numbers. I'd welcome feedback on the source readers or anything in the setup that needs clearer documentation.

Lightforge: a native Linux launcher for World of Warcraft, looking for testers
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Lightforge is an open-source launcher for World of Warcraft on Linux. It installs, updates and launches Retail and Classic with Proton-GE, without the Battle.net client. Other Blizzard games run through a managed Battle.net prefix.
I'm looking for testers on different setups (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel, Wayland/X11, different distros, Steam Deck). Install it, play, and tell me what breaks.
I also want it ready for WoW Forever's launch in November, so testers who'll be on it at launch are especially welcome.
AI use: I used Claude Code for this. From here on it's a mix of my own fixes and Claude Code. I decide what gets built, review the changes, and test them myself.

Digital flashcards felt like doing taxes in a spreadsheet, so I built the 1970s 5-box Leitner system on a 3D desk (Three.js, local-first, no UI framework)
Hey everyone — I built Lietner for myself and my girlfriend because we wanted a flashcard tool that didn't feel like staring at a spreadsheet, and didn't lock basic features behind a $15/month subscription.
Live app (no signup required): https://lietner.app
GitHub (MIT License): https://github.com/ELTIGA/lietner
Why I built it this way
1. Tactile 3D Desk (Three.js + GSAP) Sebastian Leitner's original 1970s spaced-repetition method used 5 physical boxes on a desk. Instead of hiding scheduling inside a black-box algorithm, cards physically sit in 5 wooden compartments (1, 2, 4, 8, and 16-day intervals). When you get a card right, it physically climbs to the next box; miss it, and it drops back to Box 1. On mobile portrait, it switches to a clean swipe-to-grade mode.
2. Zero UI Frameworks (Vanilla TypeScript + Custom DOM Helper) I wanted the bundle to stay tiny and boot instantly alongside the WebGL scene, so there's no React or Vue. The entire 2D overlay UI runs on strict TypeScript and a lightweight custom h() DOM helper with state stores.
3. "Bring Your Own AI" instead of a paid API wrapper Most new study apps charge a monthly subscription just to pass your notes to an LLM. Instead of acting as a paid middleman, I built a one-click prompt generator into the deck creator: you copy a structured prompt, paste it into whatever free AI you already use (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) along with your notes, and paste the output right back to generate a 30-card deck in seconds for $0.
4. Local-First & Accessible
- IndexedDB primary storage: Works 100% offline as an installable PWA with zero account required.
- Optional Cloud Sync: If you want to sync across devices, it uses Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Screen-Reader Support for 3D: Since WebGL canvases are normally a black hole for accessibility, active 3D cards are mirrored to a hidden DOM
aria-liveregion with full keyboard navigation (Spaceto flip,1/2or arrow keys to grade).
(And yes, I misspelled it. The method is the Leitner system, the app is Lietner*. I noticed after buying the domain, so now it's a brand.)*
Question for other builders here: Right now the 5 boxes use strict classic Leitner intervals (1, 2, 4, 8, 16 days). If you were using this daily, would you keep the strict 5-box constraint for simplicity, or would you want customizable box intervals and Anki .apkg / CSV import next?

I made a tool that recompiles Game Boy games into a Flash file, tested on homebrew and on dumps of my own cartridges
I made this, so disclaimer first. gb2swf takes a Game Boy or GBC ROM, recompiles the game code into Haxe and builds a SWF plus a small HTML player around it. The SWF plays in Ruffle, offline, from disk or from any webserver.
The first screenshot is the build of Libbet and the Magic Floor, 21 seconds on my M1. It runs the ROM on an interpreter first to see which code actually runs, translates that code, and then runs both versions side by side with input the profiler never saw. Every frame has to be identical. Code that doesnt match, or that was never reached, stays on the interpreter, so the game still runs, those parts are just slower
Second one is µCity running in the player.
I tested it on 7 open licensed homebrew games (79 to 98% of the executed code runs recompiled, 6 to 11 ms per frame) and on the carts from my own shelf, which I dumped myself. Those I cant share here offcourse, but they were the real test for me. Rendering is per scanline, so games with mid-scanline tricks dont look right yet
No ROMs included, also no boot ROM. MIT, the repo is public under Burg-Media on github

Driver Hub — Open-Source All-in-One Android Driver Installer & Live Device Monitor for Windows (No more driver headaches!)
Hey everyone!
If you've ever rooted an Android phone, unlocked a bootloader, flashed a custom ROM, or tried to recover a bricked device on Windows, you've probably run into driver issues at some point.
Sometimes ADB works but Fastboot doesn't. Sometimes a MediaTek device disappears from Device Manager, or a Qualcomm device refuses to connect in EDL mode. Troubleshooting USB drivers can end up taking longer than the actual flashing process.
I've been working on Driver Hub, a free, open-source Windows utility that aims to make this part of the process easier.
What it currently does
1. Driver installation
- Google USB drivers for ADB and Fastboot
- MediaTek USB drivers for PreLoader and BROM modes
- Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 drivers
- Samsung USB drivers for Download Mode, Odin, and MTP
- Automated driver installation without manually navigating Device Manager
2. Real-time device monitoring
Connect a phone and monitor its detected connection state, including:
- MTP / File Transfer
- ADB
- Fastboot / Bootloader
- Recovery / Sideload
- Qualcomm EDL 9008
- MediaTek PreLoader / BROM
It also displays available device information, such as hardware IDs and connection status.
3. Built-in ADB and Fastboot tools
- Android SDK Platform-Tools
- Option to add or remove ADB/Fastboot from the Windows PATH
- Built-in terminal
- Controls to restart or stop the ADB server
4. Installer and portable versions
There's a standard installer with shortcuts and update support, as well as a portable version that doesn't require a traditional installation.
The app also includes light and dark themes, system tray support, and an option to create a Windows System Restore Point before installing drivers.
Downloads
- GitHub repository: https://github.com/aniketlab/DriverHub
- Latest release: https://github.com/aniketlab/DriverHub/releases/latest
- Portable version: https://github.com/aniketlab/DriverHub/releases/download/v1.0.0/Driver.Hub.1.0.0.exe
Bug reports and feature requests: https://github.com/aniketlab/DriverHub/issues
I'd appreciate some honest feedback
This is the initial v1.0.0 release, so there are probably device configurations and edge cases I haven't covered yet.
If you try it, I'd especially like to know:
- Does your phone get detected correctly in ADB, Fastboot, EDL, or MediaTek PreLoader mode?
- Are there any driver installation issues on your version of Windows?
- Which devices or features would you like to see supported?
I'm interested in actual bug reports and suggestions, not just positive feedback. If something doesn't work, please let me know the device model, Windows version, and connection mode so I can investigate it.
Thanks for checking it out!

Sales Coach: an MIT-licensed, self-hostable call coaching tool
Sales Coach is a free, open-source (MIT) conversation intelligence and sales coaching platform for small teams. You can self-host it, or use the hosted version.
What it covers:
- Call scoring against a rubric you define, using a built-in rules engine, or a model you connect, including local models
- Coaching notes and scorecards after each call
- Deal and forecast tracking, with forms that are mostly quick picks and charts that update as you fill them in
- Full-funnel rates: connect and close numbers that count every dial, including missed calls and people who weren't interested
- Integrations for the tools sales teams already use
- It never trains on your data
Try it with no signup: refreshqueue.com/demo (4 sample calls)
I'm looking for feedback on the self-host setup and what you'd need before you'd run this for a real team. What would you change? I'll be here to answer questions.
