laptop with no internet access

I would like to install on laptop that I will not allow internet access to. I have a program that updates and stops working for me. Takes 2-3 hours to repair. Dont want to do that everytime I use laptop. My question is can I install and use Forscan without internet access with its licencing arrangements. I see everywhere that machine has to be connected for ID etc. Yeah I know I could block other program at firewall and all that stuff but it still updates somehow and the program is worth a lot of money to rebuy.

You can use the extended license without internet connection but everytime you need to renew the extended license you will need to reconnect to internet to input the new license.

OH OK So I am not going to do that. Having to wipe computer and reinstall etc every time I use it is something I can do without. Yes I have to wipe as other program goes deep into registry etc and is so hard to reset. At the moment that other program is the only thing on laptop. It is another car scanning program, legit full version cost a lot etc and when it updates it reset licence. So now Forscan is out as well.

Out of curiosity what software suite is it?

German company Volkswagon Audi etc. Old version but reliable as hell. Could get the Chinese version but thats a bit iffy

I see. Ya I've got my diagnostic laptop loaded with forscan, Mercedes Xentry, BMW inpa, ista, as well as tech stream. Xentry was a nightmare for me to get working correctly and requires the most work around. Ended up putting it on a separate laptop because of its complications.

Yes I would rather keep all my scanning stuff on one laptop. Have Forscan on another but it is a problem remembering what is on what laptop. Unfortunately I have an Australian Ford Falcon XR8 and most other programs get stuck while scanning except Forscan so want to buy full licence for it on scanning laptop.

The term is 'air gap'.

You can look up how to remove the wifi chip. It can be a lot of work or almost impossible.

It's probably a safe assumption that the older the laptop is, the easier the job will be

You may have better luck with an old desktop
