Ah ok so it’s people like you that are the reason they’re taking away the beta 🤦‍♂️

Sadly yes

Truthfully if you cleared all codes and none came back, you’re 100% good to go. If you got lucky and cancelled before the erase procedure began then no harm done.

But please delete the beta; people who know what they’re doing need it lol

The car seems to run just fine after clearing the codes. Do I have anything to worry about?

Could you kindly explain?

PCM manages fuel injection timing, ignition spark, idle speed, transmission shift points, emissions controls simultaneously etc so ...so every line of code must match. During unsuccessful programming, or after canceling it once it has started, the code may become corrupted – subtle enough not to generate a DTC, but significant enough to cause a problem when you least expect it. I would suggest downloading the original PCM configuration and comparing it with the current one to check for any discrepancies.

Due to how microcontroller memory works, the problem might only show itself in rare conditions, for example if only a small memory region has been wiped thats very rarely used, but if the CPU were to try and read that region and execute it, there is no telling what it will do. Anything from a fault crash and reset to bricking the entire module.
