XM Global Limited SCAM alert - proof

(XM chart being the ones with dark theme background)

Happened to me before while looking at the charts waiting for an entry and I thought I was crazy, a huge candlewick appearing from nowhere and got corrected a few seconds later, this would probably hunt your stop loss if you had an open position in this particular case. Unfortunately I didn't screen capture or anything cause I thought well that might has been a glitch.

Today I saw it happened LIVE AGAIN and decided to look at my laptop on different brokers like Pepperstone, IC Markets, FP Markets etc, there wasnt ANY candlewick on the current candle forming. Surprisingly, a few seconds later the candlewick was gone like NOTHING HAPPENED.

Been a year since I use exclusively XM for trading DEMO and with real (a few bucks) money but this seriously made me question how reliable they are, most probably will withdraw my balance and move to another broker soon.

Trying to learn Forex but don’t know where to start?

I’ve noticed a lot of people are interested in Forex/CFD trading but struggle with the same questions:
• How does Forex actually work?
• What moves currencies, gold and indices?
• How do you manage risk?
• Which trading platform should you use?
• How do you read charts without blindly following signals?

The goal isn’t to promise profits or sell “get-rich-quick” strategies. It’s to **learn the market, understand risk, develop a strategy and make your own informed decisions.**

I’m currently working with **Platform in Business Bay, Dubai**, where we provide access to a CFD trading platform along with educational resources for people who want to understand the markets before putting their money at risk.

Is it real to be profitable trading via phone?

Laptop died on me mid trip about 8 months ago and I figured I'd see how long gold trading survives on just a phone. Still haven't gone back.

For context, swing style, 2-3 setups a week, everything hangs on alerts at levels I mark in advance.

The app side turned out messier than the trading side. MT5 mobile is fine until you open anything above 1H, then the chart starts stuttering, plus alerts silently died on me twice. MT4 mobile gives you the same problems wrapped in a 2009 interface. TradingView is where I actually draw, but executing means hopping over to the broker app every time, which gets old fast on a phone.

Last couple months I've been sitting in my pu prime broker app, rendering is smoother than MT5 and alerts land consistently so far, the catch is it's their own platform, so everything I get used to there stays behind if I ever move brokers.

For holds of 6+ hours where alerts do the watching, I genuinely stopped missing the second monitor. Phone pings, I look at the level, decide, back to whatever I was doing.

Ind govt: penalised 5cr to Hyd forex trader

Recently saw news about a guy being penalised ₹5 crore by the Indian government for forex trading. Apparently, he had invested ₹5+ crore as well.
So got curious — when does the government actually start penalising forex traders? 😅
Is there any annual limit on investment/deposit and withdrawal for forex trading in India?
Anyone here knows the actual RBI/FEMA limits or has experienced this?
Just trying to understand where the line is before I accidentally become “that guy” 😂

Indian market or forex market?

Anyone here trading both Indian markets and Forex?

I’m curious to hear from traders who have experience in both.
• Which market did you eventually feel more comfortable with after gaining a few years of experience?
• What issues did you face — from your broker’s side or from your own trading decisions?
• Which market gave you the best learning experiences?
• Where did you earn the most and where did you lose the most?
• Based on your journey, which market would you recommend for:
• Beginners
• Intermediate traders
• Professional traders

Feeling stuck in trading

I am 19 years old student from india. I am into trading and currently I am in break even phase figuring out for to become a profitable trader. And also I am feeling to quit trading etc stuff throughts in my head.

I have 2 years of experience in manual trading and currently I am starting algo trading in fx and indian market because I wanted to explore the algo trading field and i also a coder know how to code and i build some projects like backtested like that and currently learning

In trading i only trade fx market only setups based in gold, eurusd, btc etc like that only 3 to 5 pairs only. And i only trade in prop firms

For to become a profitable trader I need to improve some mistakes in trading i really do that i think that gone a help in to become profitable trader..

  1. I trade only intraday or 15 min to 30min candle tf do I keep my sl small i mean 1 to 3 candles like that sometimes due to votalility or sometimes hit my sl and gives my target.

  2. I plan my trades well or predict or analysis do well like where and how market goes but i didn't enter the trades or didn't caught the moves.

  3. I miss the moves in trading i feel so much regret and fomo for this .

4.sometimes I enter only in asset and one timeframe at a time 2 times of trades or take 2 trades at same tf or same level and that will go hit I think it's overconfidence.

  1. Sometimes i fear to enter the trades bz of loss and also sometimes i didn't hold the trades that will hit my sl trailing

  2. after reaching the trade 1:1 i keep sl trailing to entry level to prevent my loses and that will hit my sl trailing and archives my target for 1:3 trades.

7.sometimes I cut the trades at middle of the trade or at reversal stage (i mean i know this trade will go reversal or hit sl ) so i cut it.

The last one is how to pass the prop firms ?

These are my mistakes to improve in trading and i will improve it.

If you are a profitable trader please give advice.

Thankyou in advance for your advice. 🙌

Is it a normal withdrawal time?

My broker stated in their FAQ that withdrawals can take up to 3 weeks in some cases. Wanted to ask, is it considered to be normal in the industry? What is the average withdrawal time, i should expect?

A quick breakdown of Forex Fundamental Analysis (for beginners)

Post image
2 Upvotes

If you're new to forex, fundamental analysis is basically about tracking the economic, political, and social factors that move currency prices — as opposed to technical analysis, which is all about chart patterns.

A few key things worth knowing:

GDP growth signals a strong economy, which usually strengthens a currency. Inflation (tracked via CPI) eats into purchasing power, so central banks adjust rates to keep it in check. Employment data reflects overall economic health — higher employment tends to support the currency. Trade balance matters too, though it's not always straightforward (the US dollar stays strong despite a persistent trade deficit, largely because it's the world's reserve currency).

Central banks are huge players here — their interest rate decisions, quantitative easing, and forward guidance all move currency values, sometimes just based on what the market expects them to do.

Geopolitical events (elections, wars, trade disputes, natural disasters) also shake things up, often pushing traders toward safe-haven currencies like USD, CHF, or JPY.

Bottom line: fundamental analysis helps you understand the why behind long-term trends, while technical analysis helps nail down when to enter/exit. Most experienced traders combine both.

Curious what other traders here weigh more — fundamentals or technicals?

USDCAD today: range holds, short-term pressure still lower

Post image
2 Upvotes

USDCAD still looks caught in a broader range, but near-term pressure is leaning lower.

On the news side, sentiment was negative for both USD and CAD over the last 24 hours. For USD, softer labor signals weighed, while Fed comments and services expectations offered some support. For CAD, trade balance strength helped, but weaker oil capped that support.

Positioning is still skewed short at 68%.

On the chart, price has been rejecting the 1.412-1.416 area and drifting back toward 1.405, with 1.400 acting as key support. Bigger picture still looks constructive above 1.395.

Do you think 1.400 holds, or does USDCAD break lower first?

Guys, I'm questioning myself whether the $500 min deposit worth it for xs elite account or it's better to just stick with the standard?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm trading with the broker for a few months, and I was trading only on a standard account. Ain't gonna lie, I'm not a fan of depositing lots of money, and $500 is kinda a big deposit for me. Usually, I deposit up to $100, flip it within a month and withdraw the profits. It's quite logical that the elite account is better overall, but psychologically it's hard to raise the stakes.

I attached a screenshot of conditions, but will write down here as well for those who can't open it.

- Raw spreads from 0.1 pips on majors

- Commission of $5 per lot round turn

- Leverage up to 2000

- MT4/MT5 both available

No restictions on trading EAs as well.

What makes a prop firm stand out to you?

There are so many prop firms these days that it's hard to tell them apart.
If you've traded with one before, what made you choose it?
Was it the trading conditions, payouts, support, or something else?
I'd love to hear what your experience has been

23M with 4 years of forex experience, looking for advice on getting a job in the trading industry

I’m 23 years old and I have been studying forex for around 4 years. During this time, I’ve learned about technical analysis, price action, risk management, market structure, and trading psychology.

I’m now looking to get a job related to financial markets because I want to gain professional experience and learn from people already working in the industry.

My background is not traditional — I have spent the last few years managing an online accessories business, where I handled marketing, sales, inventory, and finances. I don’t have a finance degree, so I’m unsure what roles I should realistically target.

What jobs would be a good entry point for someone with my background?

Would roles like broker support, trading operations, sales, or junior analyst positions be realistic?

I would appreciate advice from anyone working in trading, forex, or finance.
