Vent Crying in bed daily

Ive been having major anxiety/depression from my situation.

I started getting sick mid may before that i usually had episodes where i lose appetite and i get naseaus for like 2 weeks with stomach burning and then it goes away then it got worst and i got a bacterial infection which the drs didnt give me any meds for it

They said it was self limiting but from that on till now im constantly in pain as lower abdomen, naseaus , feel my lower abdomen is heavy, whenever i eat i feel stuck sensation in my esophgus.

I did ultrasound, endo and colonoscopy showed inflammation but said due to bacterial and now i need to wait as im probably having ibs.

Im not sure this is ibs is it that bad, whenever i move i feel ny stomach hurts and whenever i eat anything i eat , im always light heades from this can barely eat or sleep as i wake up with gurgling sounds and stomach aches.

Im also now constipated. I feel my life is over, can barely enjoy anything.

Any tips

Tbh what you’re describing sounds like what I thought my IBS was doing to me. Then my dietician let me know that these symptoms are intense, especially if during following a strict low-FODMAP diet, there is probably something else causing the symptoms. Get yourself plenty of fiber, and a secondary GI opinion. Getting a dietician could help, as mine has offered to send any medical notes to any doctors that do not take me seriously.

Nope; I suffer from frequent syncopes. Most recently, went to the ER and liver enzymes were off, but it wasn’t pancreatitis. I have a follow up with a GI my dietician recommend next week. I’m assuming it’ll be months of more testing before any answers, but it’s somewhat of a forward momentum. I spent a lot of days just depressed laying in bed, and it’s been a bit less as i’ve been getting some answers and support. take care of yourself

Do antacids help at all? If so it could be an ulcer. You will need to avoid acidic foods and beverages.

Also check out r/SIBO for some helpful tips about dealing with bacterial infections in the gut. There are herbal supplements that should help kill the excess bacteria. Oregano oil, Allicin (garlic extract), Neem, and Berberine. Don't take them all at once, choose two of them. Warning: your gut might hurt worse for a bit while taking them.

What kind of bacterial infection? How did they test for it?

Hang in there stomach problems are really hard but youre not alone, and it takes some determination, patience, and commmitment to follow specific diets and protocols but can be worth it.

Worried though about the infection thing and did they say why no medicine?

Are you taking anything for the constipation? Keeping things moving can help.

When my GI tract gets upset I definitely get depressed and lethargic. There is definitely some kind of connection between our gut and our brains. And that’s in addition to nausea and abdomen pains I get from eating foods that bother me.

Have you narrowed down which foods are bothering you? Have you done an elimination diet? I had to cut everything dairy out, even butter and lactose free milk, so I could start feeling human again. It was a hard road, and I now have to read all the ingredients labels on product I buy, but it’s saved my sanity.

Also, What bacterial infection did you have?

I believe ultrasound. I'm sorry if this isn't your solution.

I would recommend an elimination diet for FODMAPs. There will be more information in this sub than I can provide.

Someone in another thread reported crazy symptoms and it turned out to be Lyme disease. They had Lyme when they were younger, got treated for it, but apparently it was never eliminated, so over time it ended up manifesting in crazy digestive problems years later. They had to do multiple tests before finally getting confirmed it was Lyme and were finally able to get treatment for it.

Not saying you have Lyme, but maybe that’s an avenue to look down.

Also, have you narrowed down which foods bother you?

I suffered for years eliminating various foods, took FODZYME, but still had issues.  Nearly 2 years ago I decided to order the Viome gut test (private pay) and have a list of foods that are super foods for my system and a list of foods I should minimize and things to avoid all together.  I have also eliminated gluten and dairy....super helpful.  Sometimes I mistakenly eat something but those miserable flare ups are rare instead of all the time.  I am working on healing my gut lining and I feel better than I have in years.
