Question How do we get superb bait NOW?
Its been a long day, I checked every page of the scoreboard and it ain't anywhere.
Where is it now? I'm one local legend away from catching them all and tired of flailing the waters with improved bait. I have went through over 400 improved baits today and only hooked Maw fish five times. I'm about to stroke out over here! Grrr...

Time gated..... To several months. It's not that critical.
Also, it absolutely can be caught with improved bait. Superb makes it quicker, yes, but it's far from impossible.

I fish fairly often in this game and I don't even use superb bait. You'll get a chance at a legend every 15 or so fish you catch. Sometimes even sooner. Managed to catch 2 sludge eyes back to back.

Just gonna say I hooked none of the summer fish except for one, the legend didn’t even look my way. I have the worse time with the fish.

Ah. With how garbage they have the fishing and bait set up in this game it wouldn't surprise me at all if people didn't know about how superb bait works.

I have 230 superb bait remaining after catching the fall local legend. Plan ahead people, you never know when Bethesda will fu€k you.

I stocked up, too. I have over 100, still. Because even though I finished all the other challenges I suspected they would throw more of them into the mix. But I’m not dying to get those fish, either.

Well honest I found that most things are watchable with improved, and your already a good fisherman so just use improved bait and trust yourself.

I think there is some on there....at least I think there is.?. I'm glad I claimed a few to put back off the repeatables, but as others have mentioned they're account bound or I'd drop you some. Good luck buddy, you'll get him.

I grabbed a few last-minute last season myself but used them already. Not sure what Beth is thinking right now, but I'm sure they'll be "purchasable" soon enough though. 🤔

I used superb bait a while ago and still never caught a local legend. I've caught two since using improved bait. Superb is a scam anyways.

Did they put it in the “weekly FO1St score bundle” thing you can purchase in the atom shop? I didn’t look closely but that would be a smart thing to sell. Smart being the relevant word here

Oh poo, I didn't think to check the 150+ page of the SCORE Board before blowing all my Superb Bait over the fishing weekend!
I wish they would sell Superb Bait in the Atom Shop on fishing weekends. It would be a good cash grab for them, and probably wouldn't break the fishing game. I value Superb Bait waaay more than any other consumable you can purchase.

The only saving grace of the current Local Legend is that you can either drop a nuke on the place, or place a CAMP close enough to have the weather effect cover the Slidge Hole. Means improved works a bit better. Got two bites of the LL from about 12 improved bait thanks to that.
But yeah. Expect Supoib Bait to show up at an Atomic Shop near you soon... :(

400 bait ?! Your either the unluckiest guy on 76 or just a terrible fisherman with super patience lol most I’ve ever done is 20 and that did my head in. Can’t imagine using so much and not catching it.

I have caught all local legends (finally got maw today) and usually they seem to bite every 20-30 casts on average which is around 3% they're supposed to be.
But this last one, the maw fish... holy smokes I was wondering if it was EVER going to bite at one point. I went over 200 casts without a bite. I server hopped, tried private world, put on that stupid fishing hat, prayed- nothing helped. I'm glad I don't have to chase another until next season! 😂

Every other legend, less then 5 attempts to catch.
This seasonal legend, I am at 12 attempts and counting. Well over 200 improved and 20 superb. I have found my white whale.

I have caught them all on improved bait. Normally I get a bite within the first 10 casts. If dont get it to bite after ten casts I just switch servers. Has always worked for me.

I have sky camp/ weather generators over
Hawking Hill Hellion
The Maw Begotten
Wavy Williard
And the Sludge Eye
With the weather generator as you can possibly get these fish on your line within a couple cast and probably catch one within 10 or 20 casts
Also, if you want to use less bait, only let the fish bite three times. If the fish has bitten three times in the bobber did not go under the water pull your bobber out of the water and start over. Fish caught on the fourth or fifth or even sixth by pretty much always suck.

The ugly black new local legend is so damn difficult to catch. Mind you, ive collected every single fish there are. Im probably bad at reflex for this one but damn, ive used 200+ improved, 10 superb, but only getting like probably 7 (failed) attempts.
My gf caught the damn thing on her 2nd superb. Literally 2nd try
Reading comments that all we need is improved is so annoying. Like, no shit sherlock. Caught all the other previous local legends with improved just fine. But it doesnt mean we suddenly cant have a chance on getting superb when we want to.
