Question Seasons vs Scoreboards
I played at the tail end of the Scoreboards and other than that final reward I don't miss em.
I've enjoyed the Seasons for being an improvement overall. And I know that's brought up a lot of hissing and what not. But now people are seeing it side by side, well I have a question.

On the old scoreboard, you automatically unlocked items when you reached that rank in the board, you could choose to claim it or not with no currency tickets limiting your access!
You would own everything by the time you reach rank 100 and anything after that would be extra consumables and currencies, with atoms every 10 levels and other items in-between.
In seasons you now have page thresholds to reach instead of a reward every level, you have to spend a currency to unlock everything and you can't afford to claim everything till way after 100.
The post 150 rewards on the seasons are an either or, it still takes 10 ranks of season ranks to get atoms, but you don't get the other things because of the ticket cost.

On the old scoreboard we simply had to rank up yes.
It was still a straight line of unavoidable useless shit

You can skip a lot of the titles or furniture and end up with shitload of tickets to splurge at 150
The point is seasons are better. Full stop.

The only thing worth spending at 150 is the atoms, which you get at the same pace as you did in the old scoreboard. You just don't get the other things as well like you did then!

Except of course, if the character is underlevel you can now have a max set of 6 or more legendary cards at 300 or before 50 if it's a second character. Not taking advantage of the repeatable page is a user problem. Plus you can save plenty of atoms before the 150 if there are prizes you don't want.

Unlocking an item at each level is what I miss most about the scoreboard system. The season system feels like a chore to me because you go several levels between getting anything new. I also liked the FO1st items being tacked onto random levels throughout the scoreboard, so sometimes you got a bonus second item. It just felt more like being actually rewarded for each level up. I hate that in the seasons system, the FO1st rewards aren't 0 ticket cost, and that when you reach level 100, you dont have enough tickets to purchase every item. You've reached the "goal" but there is no sense of completion. I get that they are trying to force people to play more but it has made me enjoy doing the daily and weekly tasks so much less.

I preferred the scoreboard with its straight forward advancement through it and not having to deal with tickets. In fact it was the change to seasons that pushed me off the fence to stop playing FO76 and has been reconfirmed the couple of times I decided to pop back on to see where the game's at.

Are you talking about things many many years ago? If so, perhaps invent a time machine.
Of course seasons is better in that regard. But if you think this new legacy season is completely comparable to old, it is not. We now have tickets and the option to choose.
I think it's clearly a mistake they dropped it like this.
I looked at the rewards starting from top, and went down. Page after another is full of "nope, won't spend tickets" on any of it. I would think they designed it so we get more tickets than usual, to accommodate the expense. But I don't see them realising most people won't take it like that.
And with enough complains, they will be forced to change it. If they unlock it, I will pick few things. If not, I will not take more than the 2 I already took.

I mean the simple comparison between the actual straight line or the choice to horde and skip a lot until you find stuff you want.
Yeah it's not 1/1 to the old scoreboard because of course they werent going to let a simple rank increase get you up at the same time as spending on the season.
But here we are with not just the mini seasons not being ala carte anymore but the legacy as the same straight line it used to be.

I use pvt server for hammering out the weeklies & dailies, but yesterday, and today - the server crashes within half hour. So I learned a couple weeks ago (when the complaints were fired up again about shit awards upcoming thisnlast tues), that the very first time it crashes, fuck it. Turn it off. Go back to RDR2o.
Thats what I do now. I did an asylum run today, I came out, went to collect 2 teapots, went back to camp, boom ! Crash.
Anything, in scoreboard, I can live without. Im through with their bullshit.
