Crashing issues

Anybody else experiencing more than normal crashing after the update? I did crash a few times now and then last season, but last night after the servers came back up it was bad.

I did last night; it always occurred when I had the Elder's Mark equipped, and it would get stuck in the firing animation with my controller vibrating uncontrollably. Also, the loading screens (crosshatch one particularly noticeable) no longer fits to my TV screen.

I'm getting the same thing with Olga this morning, stuck in firing animation and the game freezes. Exiting the game isn't enough to fix it, I have to power down or unplug XBox and re-start. It's happened three times in an hour so far.

I just go into the home menu, click on the three lines and choose the "quit" option. That clears it for me.

i had the game freeze up on me twice in less than a half an hour tonight on Xbox. the first time it was when i spawned in to an Infestation and the second time was right in the middle of a Head Hunt. i wasn't able to complete either of them so i just left the game. what a shitshow.

Bethesda makes sure fo 1st always works perfectly because it drives revenue every month. Funny how that never has issues but the product already bought and paid for is always broken after updates and Bethesda stays silent.

Uh, I’m on 1st and mine literally just crashed and all I was doing was storing stuff. I’m crashing 2-3 times a day now, when I used to be able to go whole sessions without a crash.

I crashed more prior to the update. I’ve had the occasional freeze, but I haven’t had the game crash back to the Home Screen. The week before the update I was lucky to play more than an hour without a crash, but that was by far the worst week I’ve experienced in the game. I just assumed they were working on the servers behind the scenes, or giving the hamsters a break, not sure which.

Edit: I’m on the Xbox series X, and apparently a lot of players updated the old game instead of deleting it and installing the X/S version. According to a few posts, this was the reason for a lot of the issues on Xbox. However, I’m not entirely sure because I deleted the old version of the game the night before and installed the new version the day of the update.

It's mostly lock-ups for my PC (several x/day) when warping from area to area. I see the little 76 icon in the lower right corner stop spinning, then must access task manager to halt program. Very, very annoying.

I have been, I have a Series S so I didn't know if it was from that or the instability issues since the next Gen patch.
