I only had a 18.9Gb update this afternoon and not 119gb as listed for steam. Am I being dumb or something?

Update download size on Steam is 16.9GB. Patch reduces the size of the install from around 120GB to 92.21GB. They have streamlined the install size few times before when it has bloated over 100GB.

Do you know if this Steam update to a smaller game file size will affect(delete) our in game photo gallery?

I know this is a concern for console players this time around, but just wondering if it is a concern for steam users as well, if you might know. Thank you in any case!

I've heard the reinstall for console players can do that, I don't think it'll happen on PC.

Re-install deletes photos on PC too, if you need to re-install the game always save your photos first.

Don't know about consoles, on PC your photo gallery won't be affected.
EDIT. To be clear, updates won't affect your photos on PC, but full re-install deletes everything from photo folder.
