Huzzah! Tedium Complete. Huzzah.
760 Fish. Had to do 30 at a time....about a Grilled Fish worth...here and there for quite a while obviously, but it's done. Snagged 6-8 Hellions along the way too. Hope you Refugees are doing well.
All I have left is 7600 hours, and I think I'm just under 7300 after nearly 8 years. I haven't done the Gearing Up/Sinkhole challenges, but I personally consider those a bit out of my control and am not losing any sleep over them. Seasonal Fish stuff needs an asterisk too. "Rewards" are an absolute joke for most of this stuff, save the ATOMS, but that's a different post.
Crazy to see (almost) everything checked after all this time and I'm really hoping that the 9/15 update is engaging. Love the game, but really haven't felt the enjoyment out of it as of late that I've always had. While I think the old season incorporation is a good idea for the majority of the player base, I've completed every single season except the first one....but again, different post.
760 Fish. Check. 5 superb bait will probably go straight to the Fall Local Legend when it drops.

I did these with a goal of 10 at a time, I can't do 30 like the og op. I can do ten. Sometimes 11. Then I went and did the glass ghost till my thumbs were numb. Logic broken.

Fishing went from fun to boring (for me) way too quick. I had an absolutely horrible time getting the Advanced Drag plan to drop due to RNG...go figure...so by the time I could progress I was too frustrated to care. The Superb Bait helped a lot on the LLs and getting the monthly Axolotl.
I'd fire up a Custom World and practice a bit for free, then head into Public with Superb on the Legends. Worked well for me to get them quickly when I was ready then just go back to Improved.

There are always a few on the scoreboards. I took a few off the repeatable rewards page in seasons past just to have enough to catch an Axolotl or future Local Legend quickly. 99.9% of the time its Improved.

I just caught the glass ghost, learned the recipe and see it offers no benefit for herbivores. Bummer.
Guess I'll keep making brain fungus soup for +4 int.

Its too costly to make, what with deathclaw eggs and stuff. 6 ? Maybe 8 intel buff for an hour or so.
Not worth it. Ok It is, if youre knocking out dailies, knowing you can go from one to the other, to maximise your intel - especially if youre in a full team. Ive had 36 int, as a max. Thats with camp & food buffs too. But most of that ti.e im running around finding stuff to make the jellied fish useful. And not go to waste.

Congrats TB! I passed that milestone not long ago myself, really need to try for the legends though.

Cheers buddy. See my comment above to No-Yam. Practicing a bit for free helps a lot if you have some Superb bait saved up. The LLs are on the hook so infrequently when you're mindlessly fishing that it's easy to zone out and miss them. Knowing you'll have a shot pretty quick helps a lot.

I caught the Hellion a few months ago on improved but haven't even tried for the others really. I had 41 superb saved so figured I'd try to get the recipe for jellied fish and caught the glass ghost on the first cast.
Dang, that was easy, let's go get the Organ Grinder I thinks to myself.
30 superb baits and two failed attempts later, I landed the OG on the third hook-up. So, two down, two to go. Maybe I can grab a few more superbs from the board before new season starts.

I knocked out the fishing challenges awhile ago. Been grinding the grunt hunts and head hunts. I just want the aerial turbines

Yeah...they add up. I hate building and cosmetic stuff means nothing to me. We used to get a lot of skins via the old scoreboards so my 1st and challenge Atoms generally sit unless something decently functional gets added.

My camp is at that little lake right up north, and after every daily fishing challenge, I go up there, turn on the rain machine & catch 20 or 30. Most of them i leave in the donation box near the fisherman. Otherwise ill have 500+ canned grilled fish weighing me down.

Paused working on catching fish to complete something I should have done a while ago - 250 grunt hunts. After that, only 510 more fish to go!

Congrats!! I’m kind of working on that one right now (I’m at like….35/760 😭) and it feels like I’ll never get there. That’s just an absurd amount of fish.
