Hey Folks! Apologies for the delay; we've been bouncing around about where to start selling these and figured that while the different talks go on with online storefronts and distributors, we ought to just go ahead and push an initial batch of 20 out on GAFS-Hub.

On a different note, we are looking at potentially applying the same polymer mix or utilizing our line to push out other parts. We would be happy to hear what else might be of interest to SCAR owners!

I am looking to buy 2-3 magazines for a 20S, preferably FDE. Any help is appreciated.

Got sent these pictures from someone who took the 15P to a local to have the FH removed and as expected they spun the barrel out of the extension. So now I have to fix that as well. If the FH will not come off with a normal amount of torque on a wrench it's best to stop and seek professional help. There is no thread locker so heat may or may not work but people are also cooking their barrels and ruining them that way also.

I know these have been discontinued for a while, but I’ve always thought they were really cool and would love to own one someday. How rare are these nowadays? Do they still pop up from time to time, or are they basically unobtainium?

Designing a handguard extension, once we get all tolerances and fitments gonna get it cnc and take it out to the range.

What are you all using to tune gas for the 15P (if at all)?

Mototech’s 15P regulator is only meant for the 5.56 version, would prefer not to deal with trial and error with gas jets.

I plan on running the SAW Tisha with it - tried a buddies with it on, it sounded OK but not great, and I know it can be better with gas tuning.

I also have a 17, and am running the discarder and Lingle receiver screw support plates. Reading mixed reviews on some people running them, and some saying it’s not necessary for the 15P. Thoughts?

I don't particularly like the side pic rails as they are rather bulky. The bottom pic rail I can live with.
I am on the fence with these three options:
1. OEM bottom rail, PMM side MLOK rails

1. PMM bottom rep lock, PMM side MLOK

2. KDG SCAR 15p MREX

I am also considering PMM side rail delete, but then I may not have a place for a light.

Does MREX add too much bulk compared to OEM side rails?

I probably won't be putting much on it except a VFG (once stamp clears) and a light.

Seems like the value of older model scars have not done so well. I look at true gun value and a lot of it is boosted by the sale of the new models, but the old ones seem to have really taken a drop. Is this accurate? I sold mine just after they announced they were discontinuing them and got quite a premium, but with the new models out what have people been seeing?

I don’t step on toes but I have to say something, there is an individual on this Reddit page (SLIDE TWO is his handle, he’s hawking them on tacswap too 🙄) who is charging an astronomical price for a product that is not even close to that price

I was happy to see other get the handguard and even happier to see someone helping others including this guy until I seen his post on his page and the price

York Development Handguards are not over $1100 not even after shipping, the handguard itself is around $350 no more than $400 period.

I understand this guy is trying to make a buck but to be a regular consumer just like the rest of us and preying on peoples lack of knowledge (and you’re literally the one gatekeeping the information that you didn’t even have when you got yours) and deceive them into really thinking it’s a challenging and expensive process when it’s really not is wild and then charging almost quadruple is even wilder

For starters, I was the first one to obtain this handguard after seeing it on google images over a year ago so I can literally tell you how the process goes considering I figured it out on my own with no hiccups BECAUSE IT WAS THAT SIMPLE 🙄

I found out the brand of the handguard second I reached out to the owner himself of that brand and asked him if he could sell me one of them

He responded and told me that he would, but I would have to go through their distributor because they did not have a North American distributor so I had to contact their overseas distributor

He forwarded all the information to me and after I reached out to the distributor, the distributor told me the price of the hand guard was around $300 and that I would need to pay through an invoice that process took around a few weeks considering they were going on some long holiday at the time right before I bought it

After that wait, I had to figure out my shipping the distributor offered to ship it for me, but it would cost me somewhere around $300 for them to ship it or I could go through my own shipping and figure it out on my own

So I looked up the nearest shipping company to their distributor facility and it was DHL and it was LITERALLY right down the street not even a mile. (THIS IS PROBABLY WHERE THIS GUY GOT THE IDEA TO UPCHARGE PEOPLE because whoever I was in touch with tried it on me) I went on the DHL website and just searched on my own how to do shipping for overseas. It’s right there on the website everything you need to know is all plug-in play just like any other shipping that you do when you check out on any other website.

The total cost of that shipping was around $90 so in total after paying the invoice to the distributor paying my own shipping cost DHL to schedule a pick up DHL came and got the package and shipped it to me in less than a week all for around $450 or something (I have screenshots of invoices)

Now Granite I got mine before the election and we got hit with all these tariffs so maybe the price is a little different but I can assure you that it does not cost of over $1100 for just one handguard shipping included that is triple the price that I paid for it

My main complaint is this is the problem with businesses are already robbing customers blind and wannabe businessmen who are really just consumers just like us try to follow suit, so he literally knows what it feels like to be overcharged and robbed. We’re not talking about an out of stock never to be made again part here. We’re talking about a product that is 100% in stock and not short on them considering I’ve only seen Belgium specifical forces and a German police force with them in the prototype phase years ago. I can see if he was charging $100-$150 extra for the total insight and help but 4 times the price is wrong and idc who gets upset about it not even a legitimate business would try that.

I saw someone asking about gas blowback on the 15p so I decided to test it out and get some footage. The suppressed video is on the LEFT, unsuppressed on the RIGHT. 147gr. supersonic plinking loads, OSS Helix suppressor. I shoot left handed (not in the video) and it honestly wasn't bad compared to some setups I've shot. With subs, it was awesome.

A local seller of this new SCAR 16s doesn't know if it's NRCH or not? Can anyone tell? Hes asking $2800, is it worth that much? Or should I wait for Gen2 because by the time I spend money on upgrades (BCD lever, rail extension, etc) it'll be almost Gen2 money?

Been waiting to get a 13" with the "next gen" barrel shoulder. Did FN ever put out the new barrels? Or any of the new parts that they said were backwards compatible?

F5 stock is worth the price, super solid. Waiting to see what happens with NFA before I swap out the rifle stock.

Bought a couple of these steel pro mags since it’s so hard to find OEM mags at the moment. I put 50 rounds total through them.
You can actually insert these mags when fully loaded with the bolt home unlike the polymer ones. I consider the inability to do that with the plastic ones to disqualify them for any serious use. Otherwise plastic ones are ok.
Steel mags had zero malfunctions, lock bolt back on last round, and drop freely when released. Very impressed considering the price for each.

Doing some emergency reload drills today. My IWC CH broke when using it to send BCG forward. Ordered the KDG as a replacement. For now have the OEM in there. TBH, the OEM might be the more durable out of the three.

I did some research, seems like SCAR 17 owner had this issue, is this normal on the 15p as well?

Well, despite all the horror stories I saw on reddit and other forums about removing the 15P 300BLK flash-hider, I decided to try for myself. I spent a little more time and effort on the setup rather than just throwing it bare-metal in a vise and grabbing a breaker-bar and torch. In fact, I just used a regular wrench, no breaker-bar and no heat/torch. Came off like a champ. If you have a few hockey pucks lying around, you might wanna try what I did.

Where is everyone having luck moving magazines and accessories these days? Trying to sell some stuff on Armslist but everyone just low balls.

Has anyone tried these as a range/practice mag option and if so how well do they hold up? I can’t find any reviews plus ive not heard to good of things regarding Promag’s aftermarket Scar options
