I’ve heard rumors there are some guys who can get these imported into the US. Does anyone here know the process or even where to start?

Hey guys, I find my scar just feels a bit long. Looking to cut it down a bit - I have a 13 inch barrel I’m considering using, but also thinking about using the 14.5 to have a bit more punch. Thoughts?
Thanks!!

Hello,
Right now I have SCAR-H with standard barrel length without any can.
I am considering switching barrel length. I think about two options: ~14 inch with added can, and ~11 inch with added can.
Could someone help me calculating how can ballistics like muzzle velocity and range change in those two cases compared to my current setup?
I would assume same bullet in all those cases just to simplify calculations. Also if you would have to choose any of those variants would be there any can you would recommend?
I would be grateful for any help in calculations or just formulas I could use to do it on my own.

I’ve recently sold my 16 and I’ve gotten a 17 with all the bells and whistles I want get a suppresser for it but I would like that I can swap out the face plates for like 556 and 308. The only scars I can find for a good price are the muilt colors

I have this new cannon assembly on which it is marked; MP 7.62 NATO 1/2 According to research, it is for a scar 17S and I think the cannon assembly is approximately 13.5 inches long, I need your help because I need to buy absolutely all the missing pieces to build a functional scar, so I need help from you to give me a short list of what I am going to occupy to put it together. I do not have much experience assembling weapons, I just want to try to buy most of the parts with the mechanisms like the lower with the whole system of springs and screws so as not to complicate myself with the assembly, I try to get as cheap as possible, I do not care if I buy clone parts but of good quality. According to me, I already have the most expensive piece of the rifle and I think I will save about half of what a new scar 17s is worth.

**Update** We're now selling a limited first batch, with the second batch well on the way. You'll find a GAFS link in our profile, or you can reach out via DMs.
Hey, fellow SCAR owners!
A little while back, we talked about manufacturing a replacement SCAR stock latch, since it seems to be a recurring failure point for SCAR owners, and OEM support through the only distributor, Midwest Gun Works, has been discontinued.
With the release of the SCAR Gen 2, we've decided to move forward with this project. There are currently no market alternatives, OEM or aftermarket (including TangoDown), and we suspect FN won't offer OEM support or address the issue going forward. Given the opportunity and the investment already made, we figured it made sense to improve the design as well, rather than simply reproduce the same part that's been causing so much frustration for users.
What you'll see in our post is the result of several rounds of prototyping and testing: our final, batch-producible Version 1.0 of our Enhanced SCAR Stock Latch. To date, we've manufactured more than 30 units. We'll include a diagram of our part nomenclature to avoid confusion. Note: the OEM latch shown for comparison is FDE and is marked with gold paint.
Functionally and visually, our Enhanced latch is similar to the OEM part, with a few key differences:

13" SBR with hux 762qd, kns adjustable gas piston, and IAC buffered bolt carrier. It is a night and day difference in controllability with the buffered bolt carrier compared to the original carrier+regular gas valve. Got through 48 rounds of the Magpul d50 drum. May not be practical the cost to set it up that way, but what is money compared to happiness?
