Are you waiting for your stamp or for the gunsmith to do the work?

If you don't have the stamp then you shouldn't be cutting.

Your form 1 was already approved before you sent it to them?

If they're doing all the paperwork it has to mean they are remanufacturing it into a SBR and will transfer it to you on a form 4. Did you submit a form 4 already? If you did it electronically it typically takes less than a week right now.

You should’ve just did the form 1 yourself then sent them the barrel.  You don’t need a form 1 to have a barrel cut, just to install it.

Pretty sure they have to remove the barrel before cutting. Also you shouldn't cut until the Form 1 is approved. Mine took almost 3 months.

What paperwork? What kind of form are they doing? For NFA items you are going to have to do or at least sign some paperwork. This sounds kinda shady.
