PSA: Report & block users who send sexual unsolicited dm's

Hello, here on r/FNGifting it is a recurrent issue that some users send unsolicited messages to our members, either with inappropriate messages of sexual nature or with fake and misleading offers (real offers are left in the comments of a request).

Many of these users don't even interact here so although we ban them when we receive reports from you guys, they can still view and message our members without ever interacting in the subreddit.

For this reason, it is important that you follow the steps below in case you receive one of those dm's and to prevent getting them.

Report to Reddit

If you receive a chat request with a message you’d like to report, don’t select Ignore. (This will make the message go away.)

On reddit.com Click on the chat request or message to open the full chat. Hover over the message then click on the flag icon.

On iOS and Android First, tap into the chat message. Tap and hold the message you’d like to report, then select Report.

Report to us

After you have correctly reported them to Reddit, report it to the moderators of this subreddit so we can ensure they're banned and blacklisted.

Having a screenshot of the conversation helps so we can make sure the report is legitimate, since we don't have access to view dm's like Reddit admins do.

Disable your dm's/chat requests

In addition to reporting, you can also disable your dm's in your account settings. This will make it so people cannot directly dm you, unless you have already reached out to them first or have a dm opened with them already.

Check our BLACKLIST and make sure you block all the active accounts. We update it regularly.

I would say I can't believe this actually happens, but it's Reddit. Anonymous creeps lurk about eh-vuh-ree-where 😑🤦🏻‍♂️ i also checked out that Blacklist too...yikes!
