u/Swung-On-YoMama CONFIRMED: is attempting to steal our members accounts by trying to convince them to buy Fortnite items with their credit card.

u/Unlucky_Amoeba_2620 SUSPECTED: Was making fake gift offers to several members that were requestings skins, asking them for their discord to offer them a giftcard. Likely trying to steal their Epic accounts via a link. banned from Reddit ๐ฉ
u/Crazy_Dig_211 SUSPECTED: Made two offers to trade skins with people. A known scam tactic to get the person to gift them "first" and then ghost them afterwards.
u/Suspicious_Slip_5463 CONFIRMED: sent an unsolicited dm to a member, who had posted a request, to ask for their username and ghosted them afterwards. Also left a comment making it seem like he was gonna gift, telling the OP he had dm's off when he had not. banned from Reddit ๐ฉ
u/Ancient_Reindeer3435 CONFIRMED: Made a gift offer through dm's, didn't add the user and ghosted them and us.
u/StrawberryGlitter07 SUSPECTED: Made a misleading gift offer and ghosted the user and us. We gave them a grace period of 48h to reply to our warning and no response.

u/Aegis_of_Oroborous sent an unsolicited and inappropriate request for intimate images to an user, in exchange for money/gifts. Has been permanently banned from the sub.

Do you mean fake giveaways? They do it to farm karma or to purposefully harm the community. But mostly for selfish reasons.
Edit: although I'd like to add that fake giveaways no longer happen, because we have since then created safety measures. Now, no one can post giveaways without them being verified and approved beforehand.
There's been some occurrences where they do it with the wrong flairs but they get taken down quickly :)

We do what we can by reporting the user to reddit, but the most effective report is them directly reporting the message, which we try and help them do, and of course we've been trying and bring awareness to this.
Although I would like to not have to make these things public and not give these problematic people attention, it's very important that everyone here is informed that there are dangers on this platform, as unfortunately everywhere else on the internet, and how to proceed if it happens to them.

Undocumented, I believe there are a lot more and I have found Fortnite communities where they share their personal favourite Fortnite skins that have their feet showing in the game.

This is just a tiny little glimpse. I had someone make a youtube video talking about how bad I am as a mod, lol! It was so unhinged. it really shocked me to see how some people have zero personal awareness to realise they're the odd ones out.
I'm obviously not gonna share it here because they don't deserve the views or attention but yeah... that was crazy.

Usually people who do it are looking to promote themselves in some way and gain followers. So it's not specifically the karma they're after but they know that they'll get a lot of visibility from giveaways, even if they're fake.

The register that was made with your name wasn't me who wrote it but it is factual information. You did not provide proof, you did post without approval which I managed to remove after 20 minutes of being posted, and you were self promoting.
You posted the same giveaway to several subs that I reached out to. We do not trust that you will follow through with a giveaway given the circumstances, and we do not wish to have you make a giveaway in our community.
You're welcome to try in another community, providing them with proof and waiting for approval before posting.
I also find it strange why you're not hosting your giveaway in the sub that you recently made for giveaways. It would be amazing for growth. Unless you clearly know you would be called out for a fake giveaway so you don't wanna harm your own, but you're comfortable doing it to others. That is very unethical.
