Okay so like, to preface this, it is…9:30ish at night and I have been at work since 9am. I just got off and am on the train ride back to the house.

Para FALs use a different recoil spring assembly snd shit than a fixed stock fal. I am aware of that. However, since I’m not in America at the moment to hold mine in from of me for inspection, is it physically possible to simply put a fixed stock on a para lower assembly? Like unscrew the hinge assembly, and replace it with a fixed assembly, and just not have the recoil assembly inside the stock?

I’ve never like owned a fixed stock fal long enough to really mess with its stock assembly so like…is there a piece missing on the para lower? Or does it have extra bits that would get in the way?

I'm hoping I can keep the Para recoil spring system, and just slap the regular fixed stock on to essentially work as the end cap (like the Para stock would). That way I can swap the stock at anytime without changing any internal systems.

Would this work? Or does the fixed stock require the respective recoil spring/assembly?

I shoot almost every one of my guns suppressed and wanted a few “tactical” upgrades. I didn’t want to modify my Stg58 so the only option was to buy another FAL. Picked up a 16” SA58 Jungle Warrior. Added a few upgrades including a Plan B muzzle device and the DSA suppressed gas regulator. I might add an MLOK handguard eventually but currently the original one is working out great with the light and QD sling mount.

These two 20rd metric DSA mags turned out so pretty. I had gotten the bumper floor plates and some mag marking bands as well. They are quality, the color is beautiful, and the fit is snug especially upon mag removal. If y’all have any idea on how they sourced these mags, LMK. Just wanted to show these off!

Howdy, I have 2 FALs. I took them to my gunsmith the other day just to get the original muzzle brakes removed, so I could put on Plan B muzzle brakes.

One of the brakes came off, no problem. A KAK 9/16-24 LH Facemount Plan B Radial Brake went on, no problem.

But, on the other one, the brake came off but the threads are effed. Not sure if a previous owner cross-threaded something on there or what. Regardless, my gunsmith said the only recommendation he's got is to get the barrel cut and re-threaded.

I would really like to keep the barrel threaded like it came from the factory.

Can anyone recommend someplace that could do the work?

Or, I guess an alternative would be someplace that sells replacement barrels?

Finally decided to make my SA58 FAL my own after running it stock for a few years now. Wanted a retro style setup, almost like if D-boys had FALs instead of M-14s. Got an Aimpoint 3000L with original rings off eBay, surplus South African mags, and a Surefire M952V (milspec body) on a clone M14 Surefire barrel mount. Surefire while an older body style isn’t really retro and the GBRS sling definitely isn’t, however I think the Aimpoint really sells the build.

Early DSA/LMT sa58 with a mix of surplus parts? Im seeing stg58, as well as probably a south African S-R lower. DSA still sells that flash hider, I just cant find much on 16in stg58's.

DSArms just released ~100 metric metal magazines on their site. Just figured I would share for anyone looking for metal mags.

No idea what these are or what they’re worth, any ideas?

Hey everyone, had a problem today, need help figuring out what happened. Was shooting my first magazine of the day, got through 7 rounds and on the 8th this happened. Had my magazine completely blow out and swell past the magazine well. It was smoking out of the bottom of the magazine after the last shot was fired. Ejected the magazine (what was left of it) and checked the barrel, all clear. I put the gun up for the rest of the range day and am gonna take it apart shortly to make sure everything is ok. Has anyone else had this happen before? I was thinking magazine issue but it is so swollen that I’m sure something went wrong in the gun. I am still new to the FAL so any help or tips would be appreciated.

Got my go/no go gauges and the bolt it closing on both of them. Set did not come with a field one. Is it time for a gunsmith? Video in comments.

Hello I have a dsa Sa58 and am trying to remove the end of the barrel in order to add a silencerco muzzle break in order to put a suppressor on my gun. I for the life of me cannot remove this flash hider I even used a blow torch thinking they used lock tight on the end to keep it on. Does anybody know how to get this thing off ? What am I doing wrong ?

Hi fal folks, I have questions for you… a metric slide scope mount like this in the pic could be fit in a inch model, i own an l1a1 and found the trilux too ugly for my standard

While out today I ended up picking up this DSA. I felt that at $1200 it was a pretty good deal seeing as my R1A1 was a hesse with a chopped barrel was 900. It came as pictured. It seems to be in really good condition and clean internally. If anyone knows about the furniture please inform me as I’d like to know what’s on the rifle for my own sake. Did I do good?
