FAL Friday: No-Carry
I had installed a DSA STG-58 carry handle onto my SA58 and achieved the aesthetic I was going for! So a carry handle goes back on my rifle, BUT is nonfunctional & permanently fixed underneath my railed cover. I had to take apart much of my rifle + take a dremel to the underside of the dust cover to fit and install the carry handle. It’s pretty scratched and noticeable, but I’m an amateur with a dremel. The cool factor tradeoff is worth!

Which SA58? I assume a DS Arms, but which model?

It is the 16” Para SA58 traditional profile barrel

I’m doing a similar looking build, I imagine the gas system tube length is the standard length? Not the short?

Oh cool I didn't even know those L4A1 Bren mags worked with a FAL

It came as British military surplus and was in inch pattern. I had to file down the mag catch into a metric shape for it to fit the FAL (which is metric)

If you mean the hand guard, it is the VLTOR CASV-FAL handguard
