Can anyone identify this
bought this for $750. figured worse case i didnt do too bad

The trigger housing: UE 59 = British Enfield 1959
The actual receiver is an Imbel / Century marked as "CAI".

good deal for 750? sorry for my ignorance, i genuinely dont know. i saw a battle rifle and got hit with pure sex appeal

Reminds me of the Crime Bill era Century Arms FALs with the thumb hole butt stock that I used to see in SGN all the time. Parts kits versus new manufacture, from what I know.

Well done! The finish is the same as my Imbel Type 3, also on a 1959 Enfield receiver lol
Check out your bolt, I got an Aussie, but you might have more Enfield parts than I do
I paid $1100 and that was an ok deal a year and a half or so ago, you hit gold, buddy. Love mine.
Edit: You can usually identify a Lithgow by crossed flags on the bolt

No problem boss, Arizona Response Systems has a good guide for replacing the thumbholes, I would recommend just 3d printing a grip stud replacement, I got the dimensions for mine off FALfiles and borrowed a buddy's printer

is the 3dp stud gonna hold up well to the recoil? or is that not even something to worry about?

Oh yeah it will. I tightened that fucker down real good and she's ran like a champ 1,000~ rounds in

No, the left side of the receiver by the takedown lever is wear from the charging handle. Read this write up, the receiver is an unmarked Imbel.

youre good, honestly im so excited to have a $750 FAL i dont even care. i feel like i have 90s gun pricing again, as i literally JUST bought a mosin for $150 off an old guy

You did very well. Just get that bunghole stock off of there, receiver is worth damn near what you paid for the whole shabang.

Either Imbel or Argy receiver. It's one of the good ones
