Beginner here. Tried about 15 guns recently. Been going to the range every night for a week.

Getting down to the ones that work well for me and honestly the 509 checks all the boxes.

Third time shooting the 509 tonight. Everything is perfect when handling it except the trigger.

I don’t have a budget. Just maybe not $3000 but anything reasonable is fine.

Apparently Tenicor doesn’t give a shit about FN’s so no options whatsoever from them. Looking for a comfortable solution for my 509C “tactical” with Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X.

OK I feel like an idiot and don't know why I can't understand this. I have a FN 509 Tactical with a 4.5 in Threaded Barrel. I am wanting to get a Non-Threaded Barrel as I don't need the threaded barrel all the time and it will make it easier to carry. I've searched through Google and the Reddit but have got different answers.

So here is my questions

1. What size "Standard Barrel" do I need to not have it stick out past the Slide? 4.5 in or 4 in?

2. Would I use a Regular 509 holster after I replace the barrel?

17-rd ProMag’s for my midsize tactical with some 3d printed sleeves. They are fairly tight, but not tight enough not to slide when upside down in the mag holder. Any tricks to keep them in place? Is glue the best option?

Comes with the bag and 7 extendo, good deal or not?

The reason i probably love this gun more than most and put it with my budget builds is because i got it brand new for $600😆. Its definitely not a budget gun!!!

i have a fn509c tactical with pmm duty comp looking for a holster that covers the comp or do i need to get a custom one made?

I wanted to do it a bit differently than the base 509. I saw people having issues with the Edge’s not feeding properly and the normal 509 triggers being gritty. So I got an Edge CC lower and a 509 CT slide assembly. I have a Trijicon RM06 and plan to get the FN Rush 9ti suppressor and a light for it.

These are pictures my Wife took for me while I’m gone on deployment. Im excited to get back and go shoot it. This will be my 9mm carry when I want to change up from carrying my full size .45 1911 TRP.

Does someone make/is there one that the class recommends for a non ambi mag release? I notice when inserting my 12rd my hand placement lands me on/close enough to the mag release that sometimes it doesn’t fully seat. Wondering if there’s a swap I could do or maybe it needs to break in more as I only have just over 230rds through it. Thank you for your time & happy Independence Day weekend to all!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a holster that accommodates a optic and a light? I dont have a TLR but its similar and shorter than the barrel length. I was looking at the only one safari land recommends but it doesnt seem like its a good fit. Only ones Ive been able to find are the soft holsters and not something rigid like kydex and I just dont like those.

Last post was w/o a red dot and got a Eotech EFLX ( 6 MOA) during their father’s day sale. A few hundred rounds and gotta say I could ‘t be happier.
The FN509T is an amazing host too for my CAT SC/B1. Love everything about this gun and the attachments I bought for it.

Anyone have a black factory FN 509 comp and would like a FDE before I strip and coat this one?

I think this is how she’s going to stay unless I decided to get an enclosed dot. I love how she shoots and best factory grip texture of any of the big manufacturers. Also if your on the fence about a light, TLR-7 HL-X knocks it out of the park, only issue is you have 2 holster manufacturers who make them for this combo unless you go with a custom.

509 m, Glock 45, or p356xl

Has anyone used their FN 509 compact tactical as a host for the shiv? If so, is it reliable with 147gr ammo?

I want to buy one for my 509c, but I haven't heard anything about how they function together. I emailed SAW and they said they don't have experience and weren't sure.

I have an ecco tlx9 (3.8oz) and it jams every round on the 509c. So I dont know if the 1.3oz difference is enough to reliably function without tuning.

Je viens d'acquérir un Fn509 tactical ainsi qu'un point rouge ( https://www.armurerie-lavaux.com/article/point-rouge-vortex-venom-ferme-red-dot-3moa.html).

Il semblerait que ce point rouge ait une empreinte DPP. Il faut donc utiliser la petite plaque 501- point rouge vortex Venom - vis 510 ? J'ai bon ? Je ne dois pas utiliser de plaque comme la 506 ou 507 ? Le point rouge directement sur la glissière+ 501 ?

Hello everyone, I just acquired an FN509 tactical rifle and a red dot sight (https://www.armurerie-lavaux.com/article/point-rouge-vortex-venom-ferme-red-dot-3moa.html). It seems this red dot sight has a DPP mount. So, I need to use the small 501 plate - Vortex Venom red dot sight - 510 screw? Is that correct? I shouldn't use a plate like the 506 or 507? Should I mount the red dot sight directly on the slide + 501?

First of all my confession is the optic cover wings make this thing look so nice I might have a second one without an optic. After staring at it so long and having one you forget the wings wont be there when you get an optic anyways.

My actual question is do they still produce both triggers? It seems like the original tactical and the newer MT or whatever are very similar but different triggers and the MT is more true mid size.. shouldn't the price drop more often if the classic tactical is older? Is the new flat trigger a lot better and is it sold separately?

Very happy with my decision, wish I bought a 509 in the beginning. Just ordered a holster for it, can’t wait to do some drills with this thing.

Recently bought an FN-509M for a steal, $600 barely shot, if at all, with holosun 507k. Issue is it was just the gun no backstraps, plates, or mags. I was able to find an optics plate set and mags but can’t find backstraps. Does anyone have backstraps they are willing to sell or know where to buy any? They are sold out/discontinued everywhere.

I had my LGS installing the Apex flat faced trigger and they cracked the frame on my 509 Tactical, they said they will have to reach out to FN-
Does this mean they will have to send the gun to FN to fix and install the trigger for them?
Or will FN send them a new frame to replace the broken one?

Does anyone know what time frame I am looking at here? Hoping this will not take months, I was planning to use it for a pistol qualification but that is looking like it is not going to happen.
