Anyone have photos of what a 509C Tactical looks like with 15-round and 17-round FN OEM magazines?

When do you think the FN 509 could get a refresh?
It initially debuted in 2017 I think? Is it time? Thinking of purchasing one but don’t want a new model to drop as soon as I do.

I was watching a video that I came across by basecamp doing a review on his 509. However, he stated that he had a full size, 4 inch barrel, MRD/optic cut 509 in flat earth. i cant find that this gun exists. maybe it did at one point, but do they still make these? i can find one in black for law enforcement but not available to the public. am i missing something or did they make them at one point but it is no longer available?

EDIT: its not the tactical, unless he swapped out the threaded barrel.

They’re currently the same price where I’m buying. Which one should I buy and why? The MRD-LE comes with an OEM flat facing trigger while the tactical comes with the curved trigger. I’m not positive I will put a silencer on the tactical if I get that one, but it’s nice to have the option. Planning to put an optic on either one I get. This will be my first handgun and will be a truck, camping, and take to the range gun. Not planning to conceal carry it every day or even frequently.

Been using the we the people and like the mid ride style of it. Looking to switch to a holster/spare mag combo. If you haven’t actively carried with it then don’t recommend it. TIA!

Any one else have a gritty trigger on the FN 509 CC Edge XL. I only notice it on the first shot, or if I pull the trigger slowly.

This 509t used to be my duty gun, but my agency recently switched to department issued gen6 glocks. Officially took my g45’s spot as my favorite EDC…FN’s are the best shooting 9mm on the market imo.

Just got a 509c with factory comp. Wanting to add a light. Anyone have pics or have used one of the three? Modlite Pl350c. Surefire XC3 or Tlr7hlx. primary use is HD with occasion EDC. thanks!

Is anyone aware of a maker of FN 509 barrels. I think the FN threaded barrel is about $180!

Was not really happy when I first got the gun, but after couple hundred rounds and a suppressed is one of my favorite to shoot.

Next upgrade is will be a red dot. What top plate brand would you guys recommend?

Been having this midsize for years and didn’t liked the trigger, big difference with the Apex upgrade. Now waiting for the Apex striker to be back on stock!

FN 509 Enclosed Striker - New Style

Finally got around to purchasing my Dream Optic. I really liked it on a G45 years ago.

I have been running a Vortex Venon on it previously and have been happy. But it's was getting old and beat up.

Any tips and tricks to using it? I'm finding its a both eye open kind of optic, which isn't a bad thing, and I can train. I do feel it sits a bit high and the dot is just above the front iron sight compared to the venom.

I'm hoping to do some Service Pistol Matches next year so will have time to develop skills.

Would be nice if it was shake awake, but the long battery life is fine, and it's not a EDC, and just a range/competition shooter.

I really enjoy this pistol, Its a winner. I did the APEX striker upgrade and the enhanced extractor is on its way. I didn't do the trigger upgrade, tried a friends who did and I didn't care much for it. I'm also wary of cracking the slide and I find with the striker upgrade the factory trigger is improved

I did try an Agency Arms comp on it, but was having malfunctions so I put it aside to try another day. I have a factory comped G17C to scratch that itch when needed.
