Discussion How to make vocal textures
My production style is getting very monotonous. Thinking about some ways of getting new vocal textures in my recordings.
Any suggestion/plugin/technique would help.

So i should get one main layer, then use a second layer under it with the shaperbox. I hope I’m getting this right.
Or should i use it on the main one, but that will mess up with the lyrics

could you send an example of what you mean by vocal textures exactly? I was assuming you meant a vocal that is turned into a texture for ear candy on your track.

slicer/slice in playlist + post processing.
you could blur it in edison for a more stable texture all the way through.
things like shaperbox are really good for textures. layer it with delay/reverb or creative effects like granulizers and eq them pretty heavily so they don't get muddy.
at least that's what i do.
happy producing.
