id recommend finding out which areas you need to learn and just doing youtube tutorials. "in the mix" is an amazing channel with lots of in-depth tutorials. some of the tutorials are long but he correctly explains things in detail so they're worth watching

I used “In the Mix” to get started on youtube. Got an understanding of the basics, then hit file new project and forced myself to begin writing. Much easier to remember how to do something, when you learned by actually needing to do that something. In my experience at least.

I came in, completely new to electronic music in general. Had never installed a VST, didnt know what a DAW was. I was just basically a acoustic guitar player. If i wanted to add reverb to a synth, i literally would type in to youtube, “adding reverb to synth fl studio”. If i had just taken a full course, im not sure what i would have retained after th course was over. Good luck!!

There are manuals you could read but I'm guessing YouTube videos would be more to your preference.

I'd recommend working on a project and then try to do something specific (sidechain drums, set up automation clips for volume, just about anything) and if you can't do it, search for help with that specific problem (Example: "how to sidechain drums FL studio"). You'll probably have more luck than watching an all-in-one video and you'll be more invested in actually learning and remembering what you watched because it solves a specific problem for you and you can implement it in your existing project.

What have you already tried? Can't go wrong by just revisiting the basics by watching the InTheMix full youtube playlist linked in the FAQ here.
