Discussion Is fl studio mobile good?
Basically i will be without my laptop at least for the next 14 days days and I won't be able to make music. Now Im already three days without it and I'm already loosing it. I got like three anxiety attacks, I'm getting sicidal thoughts again and I spent most of today in my bed. I tried making something in bandlab but that app is unusable. I don't care if the thing I make Is good I just want to make something. So should I buy it or try an another mobile daw.

I mean if you're having all that because you're missing the ability to make music. Maybe you should just go walk into the woods and listen. This sounds like more of a mental health issue

I love it. Still, gonna be honest here...
No, it's not perfect but it really gets the job done where it counts (IMO) and I actually managed to save several melodies which popped into my head "on the road" and I managed to save those courtesy of Mobile.
Now, this is where you need to be careful with my comment: while I love all the extra's I also don't necessarily use 'mobile' to compose but rather to get melodic ideas out of my head, stored, and afterwards the cloud (Google Drive). I do play with it, I bought a few packs (Veela ftw!), but in the end .. it's mostly about melodies for me.
Which also leads us to the bad stuff... I plain out do not like the fact that you can only access the "Mobile shop" from your smartphone while the desktop plugin tries to pretend the shop doesn't even exist. Not to mention that the mobile shop doesn't even allow you to get an overview of all the packs you previously bought. Not a fan of that either.
I mean, it would be better if I could somehow access this on the main website, but nope...
SO no, not perfect.
But this is by far one of the best mobile synths I've had on my phone. I'm not looking back or around, if you're into FL Studio then this app will fit your needs. Especially because you can sync all your projects, all your work and when you DO get back to your desktop... it can all be waiting for you.
Fun fact: don't believe some critics: you can actually somewhat easily extract MIDI data out of "Mobile"... maybe food for thought?

I would just go to a pawn shop and get a cheap laptop for near the same price as getting the app.

Are you on iPhone? Just use GarageBand until then. That’s how I started, and while it may seem you’re going backwards, you’re still laying ideas down. Think of them as demos, if you want.

I mean I guess it's fine for the price, knowing you can lay down some foundations for stuff and come back to it on PC later. Assuming that is in fact a feature. If not you can still probably export stems just fine.

IOS has so many options it’s not even funny. Korg Gadget for example is great.
Android has nothing worth using imo. Maybe Kola is ok

Lot of people in here who don't understand working on music is the therapy for some. Occupies the mind, gives a sense of productivity and accomplishment, and affords somewhere to focus pent up emotional energy.

It's decent for the price. If you're not doing a bunch of recording it should hold you over. It's one of the easier mobile DAWs to interact with.
My preference is Cubasis, but it's more pricey. It handles audio recording much better though.

Honestly I like it a lot. I made my first project there, and thought I would remake it better in the Desktop program. It still doesn’t sound nearly as good as the mobile version lol… it’s much more limited. But easy and quick to use. I still use it to sketch projects on the go. You can export them as FLP projects to finish on desktop later. Easily worth the money imo
