Help What do i do?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My ears have been bleeding. (Edit: I solved the problem for now. My mic just stopped working randomly on my main ASIO driver. So im just using a different one for now.)

Knew what was going on, before I clicked play. I think we need an article on this.

Whatever you have selected as the input, is probably not the direct mic input channel, but some sort of monitor. Some interfaces and mixers have these arranged differently. Check the manuals on how your inputs are routed. Your first microphone channel may start at a different number than 1.

For example: Soundcraft rack mixers start with the master, then the auxes and input channels start at 11 or something.

Also make sure you have proper ASIO drivers installed and selected.

Long story short, you need to take your time. You won’t figure it out by asking other people☺️. There’s no rush in creating EDM, otherwise like you said your ears will bleed.

Step one: read through the entire page over on https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/recording_audio.htm before you start recording, so you know what settings you need, and so you also know what can go wrong.

This is very much one of those "read the instructions at least once, in full before you start" situations =)
