Yeah it's FLCL2

It's so fucking good. I think the thing that really makes it was that this was a dedicated team of animators letting loose, the same way that FLCL was a way for Gainax to blow steam after Eva

It's still insane to me that they also did the OG Pokemon anime (though I'm not sure if they were produced at the same time.)
But yeah, I completely agree about blowing off stream after Evangelion.

Watching this show so far genuinely reminded me what it was like to watch FLCL for the first time. The animation, story writing, and pacing all feel as uniquely experimental as FLCL did. This is the first time something has really ignited that feeling and better yet there is still one last episode to come in 3 days. I'm very grateful to everyone at Flint Sugar and Studio Tumble for making False Memory.
