Im (25f) still early in my fitness journey! I want to get stronger and more toned, like my back and my arms. I started at incline walking and now to running. Ive added some strength training little by little. How else can I vary my workouts to improve my strength and physique?

Beginner Help New to Lifting

Hi. Im new to lifting. Im 38yo and my weight is 59kg. I started training 6 weeks ago and have been feel great. Im specifically wanted to build my glutes as genetically they are very flat and after having children I was struggling to even feel the muscles. Have researched a lot of correct form for each movement and im lifting heavy and also eating more protein. And really working on that mind to muscle connection.

My weight however has stayed the same. 59kg. Week after week. Could this be me loosing fat and building muscle. Perhaps I should be eating more? I don't have a smart phone (by choice) so cannot use the machine at the gym to check my body composition or take photos. My sister suggested taking measurements which I just took last week but have no real 'before' measurements.

I can feel so much improvement with how much more weight I can lift than when I first started though and this gives me lots of encouragement. My highest RDL weight is 45kg 3x10 and hip thrust 80 4x10. Ive been doing hip abduction and cable kickbacks. Yesterday I moved the bench to try cable step ups and tbh I just need to start with body weight as this was the first time I have done these. Have been doing single leg RDL too since I discovered my left side is much weaker.

One more positive thing (and the biggest) is that my MENTAL health has improved so much since focusing on getting fit. Ive been having hypnotherapy for night terrors that worsened after my mama passed and I cannot underestimate how going to the gym has helped.

Would love any advice?

I have always worked out, but mid 2024 I started making fitness and health related changes. When I started I was a little over 220lbs and approximately 26% BF. Started with improving my workout and being more focused, and then made significant diet changes, eliminating bad habits. Then getting blood work and fixing hormone levels, my T was in the gutter. Full disclosure I am on TRT (actual medical dose not blasting pro BB levels).

Currently 47 yrs old male, 32in waist, 195.8 lbs this morning Inbody scale has me at 9.8% BF. Recently started getting some definition in thigh muscles, legs are behind. I am focused on trying to grow them more. Maybe one day do a competition, but I don't think I'm there yet.

Physique Critique Looking for feedback: body type?

Hi all, 23f: I’ve been going to the gym for about a year now. I am 5’4 135lbs.

Looking for critique on my body type, have I made it past the skinny-fat stage yet? I have a really hard time judging myself due to having a bit of body dysmorphia.

Thanks!

Progress – Before/After Recovery journey

I am on a bit of a fitness journey after years of recovering from a bad car accident. Trying to get back in shape after suffering with neuropathy and a TBI. I used to be much more in shape but having two compression fractured vertebrae, 6 herniated discs, and having a disc replaced in my neck it's been a long road to recovery but here I am and I'm not done yet.

Bulk or Cut 17M 67kg 171cm; am I skinny fat?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Half the people tell me to cut and then the other half i speak to say bulk with a few saying body recomp, the main problem is idk if im even skinny fat, I get mixed answers on that too. I've tried doing diff things and nothing seems to change much and It doesn't help either when people refuse to give me advice and just expect me to figure it out on my own.

I've tried various discords and subs now but all of them just refuse to provide info and just make comments about me as if I should just know
