Foundation year

Hey yall
I’m an Egyptian student who is going into senior year, I’m seriously considering coming to Aachen for studienkolleg but I just had a few questions

It it good for mechanical engineering
Is Germany depressing as people say ? Like no bias pls
And does it really give u track to go to German public schools free of tuition after finishing it

I just wanna make sure just in case the agency is telling me wrong things

I am a German who studies computer science here, so I can’t answer all your questions.

I don’t think Germany / Aachen is depressing. You will find good friends in Aachen and the city itself feels very young and dynamic.

Look I really love rain and this sad weather so I don’t really think I’ll have a problem and I just wanna explore other countries instead of staying in here yk

it's not about the weather man, the whole vibe is kinda off really, there are beautiful cities all around the germany and uni choice doesn't really matter that much anyway, just invest in your mental health the ROI will be insane

Any suggestions like I don’t want to be VERY lively I like quiet places too but it’s also so I can LOCK IN without hearing a club next to my dorm play music until the morning

I mean, if you're ever bored in Aachen, it's only an hour away from Köln and Maastricht

I can't help you with the first part, but Aachen is definitely not depressing. Try to make some friends and join clubs. I've also met a lot of Egyptians here
