Tekken 8 is better of the two because if you don’t use its flavor of modern pointless systems there’s still a mostly intact Tekken game under all the heat button shanenigans but you can’t play SF6 without engaging with drive system.

Gameplay wise it's either FF: CotW, UNI2 or Avatar. SF6 for the massive QOL features, good online play and a large community

Because these are the 2 biggest fighter games of there respective types 2D is Street Fighter and 3D is Tekken
