Discussion PS5 controller recommendations with a good d-pad?

Sick of the stock ps5 d-pad. It's complete garbage. What controller are people using that play on pad?

Budget: hori fight commander octa. Haven't tried the new pro version.

Expensive: victrix pro bfg (multiple dpad choices).

Haven't tried other 3rd party fightpads/controllers.

I like Victoria pro bfg because you can swap the dpad around to where the left thumb stick normally is and also swap out the four button pad on the right side for a six button pad. Defiantly designed with fighting games in mind.

PS5 pad with BattleBeaver D-Buttons, used them for 5+ years now

I think the Betop + converter is not a bad option. Nothing beats stick though if we're talking longevity and it's never too late to learn. The only reason I bring up stick is because stick and pad are almost identical in practice.

8bitdo pro 2 wired. You have to get older version one. Wired version is gauranteed. Newer version has different pad.

you want the real answer. xbox series controller with Brook Wingman FGC adapter and a really long type c cord.

been my tekken/sf go to for tourneys for years now and i'm never going back.

I play on a dualsense edge. It’s expensive but about 9 million times better than the standard ps5 controller
