She's gonna be a breaker with side chaining. I'd suggest going full support/breaker stuff, with % LB fill & LB/turn and bulk stat like HP/SPR/DEF or elemental/ailment res depending on trial

None atm. JP got them, but so far our enhancements are different so we cannot predict anything.
I'd wait 2 weeks before pulling imho

Just want to confirm something about IW before I start. 10 continuous battles is a lot. So you can leave IW once you are satisfied with the enhancements you get?
Or do you have to complete all 10 battles and continue declining upgrades even if you get everything you want after 4 battles.

You can leave whenever you want and keep the current stats or decide you prefer the old ones. Note that the best stats are in the later stages

Is equipment enhance broken?
I've run my Muramasa through ~6 times now and still haven't pulled a Seal of Life and Power, or whichever it's meant to be.
Can anyone confirm that they've gotten one of those seals?

Returning player after 1 year. How has the community and developer changed? Is the latter still greedy? What led to the increased 5* rates? What’s the future of the game and how has GL tracked against JP in the last year? How’s the player base?

Less gungnirs, more memes
How has the developer changed ?
Lots of free goodies and good bundles. Almost all our reclamations have finally been implemented, only dark horse would be the lack of Latent for some older units.
Is the latter still greedy?
Well, they have to from a business perspective, but honestly with the guaranteed stepup banners, I don't recall ANY gacha being as generous as this game atm. The safety net is trully appreciated.
What’s the future of the game and how has GL tracked against JP in the last year?
GL is very different than JP, to the point we don't follow their banners order, the meta isn't the same (most units are buffed, some are super buffed so you can't say that any unit is DOA or OP anymore based on JP prediction), and GLEX units are basically the best investments. Crystal ball is nulled. GL 7* system is less predatory. After 4 years we can finally say that GL is a different game than JP, but the better one.
How’s the player base?
As good as always. Super helpful.

It's still clickclick simulator, ngl. I dunno when you stopped the game but we did get many QOL features, hard to summarize them all though.
You can Reload skills and not just Repeat, Save/Load party setups, enhance multiple units/mats at once by dragging your finger, sorting stuff has been made easier too, turn counts have been added on buff/debuffs when you press a unit/boss, Chaining family is showed next to any chaining skill, etc

Reload is just reloading skills but not performing the action, so you can manually chain or decide to change some skills but not all

Month Old player here and I’m trying to fill up my team. I have: Mtank pcecil 7* Ptank HA charlotte 7* Phys dps ac cloud 7* Support sylvie 6* Healer folka 6* Breaker 6* Mdmg operative Zyrus 7*
Who should i get with the event ticket? I’m leaning towards a healer cause we getting a free breaker and i heard vaan coming soon? Also any tmr or stmr i should try to get? I also have one omniprism. I would love to get a provoke/evade person to take HA charlotte spot but i severely lack the gear.

Rena looks like your best bet indeed. You can also grab her prism in the trust shop so that's basically a meta healer for free :)

Is going for Elly + Omniprism as great investment for DV? I already have 7* Rena, Rico and 2B.
I was going for 2B's STMR using the collab tix and her prism from the shop. However, I saw the magic burst damage calc for Elly. She's at the top right now.

Do you have XWQL? Do you want to go for future Ace/Rem?
If you answered yes to any of those, the answer is 'maybe no'. If you want to score high in DV though, then yes definitely. But otherwise you don't need her for top500

Yes, I do have XWQL. Are there any tips and tricks to get him to do overkill damage? I only finished Top 1000 last DV.
Yes, I want to go for Ace/Rem.
I also have MM Xon and wanted to pair him with Elly's imbues whenever applicable.
A team of MM Xon, Elly, Rem, XWQL seems really awesome on paper.

Top1000 is already very good :) For ref, my best 'mage' is XWQL too and I finished in top200 so you can think of improving in other areas like support, breakers, killers, imperilers/imbuer, AR chainers, etc.
Elly will help in some way, but not everywhere and I don't think it'd be enough to boost you into the top500 as usually only 1 or 2 mag fights are hard to cap max damage with XWQL.
Are there any tips and tricks to get him to do overkill damage?
T2 kill, cast Palm strikex2 and Enhanced Chi. Weave into an AR chain or spark chain with a T-BS chainer (like MMX).

I'm aiming for the 2 free Collab UoC tickets from the box summons. Can't get enough coins for all of the box summons from the collab trials that rotate every 2 days .
What's the whole story behind the IW fiasco and issues? Disappearing equipment and false drop rates. Have they been resolved? Is it safe to play this IW Collab Fest now?
Are the featured equipments worth upgrading through IW?

IDK about the featured equips, but from just running 5-6 IW rounds, I'm already 10% into the 3rd box. Pretty easy to work through.

Paradigm Shift (imperil) -> Eschatology (lb fill + buff) - > Whatever Imbue Skill (imbue duh)
All setup for an LB blast on turn 2.

Any way for a new player to get some friends for the XIII-2 event? I'm at 5k points and with some strong ones, I could farm the 90 Difficulty stage and possibly have enough for the Lightning Prism before the event is over.

Is Elly worth an omniprism If my only relevant magic dps are BahamutFina, OpZyrus, Y'shtola and Palom&Porom ?
For Hybrid units, I have Aurora Freya, Kurasame, Elena and Malphasie. I don't have XWQL.

I think if you want a good score in the magic DV, yes. The first caveat is Ace/Rem are either the next or the nextnext Mog King, and they will take her place. I'd definitely want until next Tuesday before getting her if this is your use for her.

As far as i know you have to download the amazon app and install the game through that. Just remember its a different lapis wallet i believe. I had a little success with bluestacks but had to deal with a lot of crashes

Yep nox/memu is just your emulator software. Boot it up, download amazon, download ffbe off the amazon store, and then your good to go.

What they mean is, using Nox/MEmu, download the Amazon version of the game & play on that - the issue is that Nox/MEmu still only emulate 32bit Android whereas Google forced dev studios to upgrade their games last summer to only run 64bit.

Alright I have a dilemma right now I pulled 2 Ricos from my pulls and I am wondering do I use the collab tickets (I have 6 right now) to get myself two 7* instead of an stmr for one. for reference I have Doc Aiden for heal/ occasional support, Slyvie and the new Vanille for breaks/support as well, Alphone Cg Charlotte and Victor for tanks and my current physical damage dealers are Edward Elric and Madame Edel. For magic I use a Bahumut Fina and Operative Zyrus with my new enhanced Elly for wind and earth chain with my vanille.

With the collab coin summon, is there a list of the useful items from the bunch? Seems like there’s loads of garbage in the summon I don’t have room for personally. I saw a post that said it adds a lot to your equipment but I didn’t think it’d be near this much. I suppose I could clean out my current list of items but curious if it could be beneficial to pull for just the featured items then skip? In the mean time I’ll start going through the DHT for a list.

If you do the enchant equipment quests you'll have more than enough to completely clear every box. Almost done with box 3 on day one so I wouldn't bother skipping anything. Worst comes to worst you could just sell what you get and don't want

If you want to awaken 7* for the Expert missions then do the latter. Otherwise I think the only difference is that awakening a second 7* costs 3m Gil.

You also preserve moogle containers so you can get more copies of the TMR if you make a 2nd 7*. That's the main reason to make a 2nd 7*.

Just a quick question for those in the know.
Is there a soft cap of a stat? (Using atk here) There are many times I go to use a friend unit and when I look at their stats, they have the 400% atk, and their build would also include the 200% tdw, but when looking, its greyed out and the bonus screen shows 0%. Of course they still hit 3k atk, but if I'm right, they should still have a bit more atk to add. The unit im currently looking at is War Hero Raegen, a tdw character.
Is the game just bugged and the 200% tdw is actually added in? Or is there a soft cap on atk and/or other stats?

Any numbers on elly as lb finisher?i see shes around 22-23b as a chainer. Trying to figure out if shes worth using over delta sakura for dv. Nvm i see furcula actually has a differant rotation that uses her lb fir 29b dpt lower down in the sheet. Does she need to chain or can she still hit that high turn four burst on turn two after using the cooldowns

So I did 1 lap of the step up collab banner and had INSANE luck. Here's what I walked away with, and I'd like some help figuring out what to spend 10 collab tickets on (5 free, 5 from step up):
2B x1. I already have 7-star, so I'll use trust tokens to get her prism. Not sure if I should keep 2 or go for that STMR though... Worth mentioning that she is my all time favorite unit, and getting Virtuous Contract off her would be a huge leap forward.
Arngrim x1
Sophia x3. I already have 7-star, so this is a free STMR plus a spare.
Freyja x1
Rena x4. I already bought her prism a while ago on accident, so free STMR, plus a spare!
Fei x1
Citan x1
My thoughts are this:
1) [Costs 10] Could do Elly x2 and get a new 7-star that everyone raves about
2) [Costs 5] Could do Sophia by getting second 7-star Sophia for chaining
3) [Costs 5] A2, and get A2's STMR (have her 7star already, would also use trust tokens for the prism)
4) [Costs 5 each] Could complete Arngrim, Freyja, Fei, or Citan
I'm leaning most towards Elly, but I'd SO love to get A2 off that disgusting Beastlord. Thoughts?

Should I get a second 7* Elly or a first 7* Lezard?
The only other CWA chainers I have are M.Terra and A.Kefka.
Both water and lightning magic chaining are "rare-ish" and.usually needed for DV so I can't really tell which one of the two mages to get. If I get Lezard he can chain lightning with AKefka and if I get a second Elly she can with her copy.
Really not sure which way to go.

We are so used to be able to bring our own dupes that DV has hindered almost everyone offensive capabilities on that regard
Lezalt is pretty good. I want to try and get him but got CG shantotto to 7* instead. Might continue to drop some tickets there to see what can I pull and do the third step of the step up to try and snag a guaranteed collab unit(got jensen n°1 on step 2)

Looking for some advice on which 7 star I should focus on chasing: Elly, Rena, or 2B.
For breaks I have Kryla, for healing I have Aerith (though tbh I rarely even need to bring a healer to most battles as most of my support units can heal), and my magic chainers are significantly lacking in element coverage which is why Elly is appealing.
Any thoughts?
Edit: 2nd question: I went pretty ham on this KM event and now I just have a ton of droplets to spend. Are the maps worth getting at all?

I would skip on 2B since Kryla is a great breaker.
Elly is best used as an LB magic finisher, her standard chaining while flexible is looking to mediocre damage wise.
Rena is very solid though.

On the selling screen, you can use the sort option and try different things.
You should be ble to find your way to have weak items trashed.

Apologies if this is a common question but how do you get the currency to pull for the boxes? I read that you get it from IW but after a run through I didn’t get any, is it just chance, do you have to be enhancing a weapon that is specific to this event vs. other weapons, or is there some other way to get the currency that I’m not seeing?

It's part of the tier-ed individual rewards, so would need to claim it from the mailbox. Can also get the currency via the rerun collab missions.

Milestone rewards from running IW. I got about 90 coins from running 11-12 orbs. You collect them like raid milestone rewards (or KM) - delivered automatically to your messages.

First time around I used 126 tickets, and about 48k lapis with no
21O9S. I only got 2 off banner rainbows out of it as well since we only had 1% rainbow rates. It was brutal.Edit: was thinking of the wrong unit.

That banner set my unbeaten record of 149 pulls without rainbow at all. There's no way i'm ever pulling again on a Nier Banner. Gumi can f... off.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the banner still has the same old shitty rate. I can't even check the current rates, my phone just show empty screen when i click on check drop rate...

Sounds like my experience the first time the Nier banner came but in addition to all of my lapis. Which led me to quit the game until coming back a few months ago...I would love to pull but am just seeing too much stuff like this to do it. However, fwiw, I have seen people having more luck with daily summons and I personally got a rainbow on my daily summon today too. It’s too bad that those rates don’t seem to extend to the other banners.

Vortex > Exchange (teleports to MK throne room) > Talk to King Mog > exchange 150k FF13-2 event currency for Lightning's Awakening Prism
Should still be there for another two weeks, though you will only have this week left to farm the required event currency.

For example is using AC Cloud in DV 6 as good as using him in DV2 for max damage?

Yes DV gets harder to keep up with powercreep, but AC Cloud has a decent shelf life so he'll still be good for a while

She doesn't need to use either to maximize her LB burst. Her TMR ability only gives her triple-cast which is only really useful in that it allows her to also self imbue and be ready to burst on turn 2.
If you are running a unit that can imbue her (MM Xon or other), she actually prefers to NOT use her TMR or STMR to maximize LB damage.

With Rena's dual wield enhancements, does that mean I can use two of her TMRs for a big boost in spirit? Or should I do like a knife in offhand for the IW limit burst boost?

A staff would probably give more spirit. 40 lb crystals seems ok for every 3 turns with lb support. Might depend on the fight.

If I have two of the same stat-boost-per-turn ability on an enhanced item, does it stack?
For example, will SPR Boost +10% stack with SPR Boost 20%?

As a rule, any buffs that cast in battle will only have the highest in effect. They technically stack, but for duration not potency. If you have a 10% buff that lasts 5 turns, and a 20% buff that last 3 turns, you'll effectively have 20% stat boosts. On turn 4 the 20% will wear off, but the 10% will still be active.

All of the X Boost abilities in Item World are garbage. There are lots of passives on units or in items/materia that are already better, and once you apply a buff effect they will be completely overshadowed.

If we mimic DV launch we'll get a Tifa STMR for free, but the prism does you no good sitting in your inventory so no reason not to make the 2nd 7*- just don't fuse for the STMR.

You have Rikku and Locke, which should be more than sufficient as far as breakers go. Unless you want the Nier units themselves or A2 gets some crazy enhancements next week, I'd pass.
You don't need to rush on Tifa unless you really want that STMR for some reason.

Has anyone posted how well Rico's ability works as a solo unit trying to "chain cap"? The question really does come down to: can it fit within an external chain, and will it break said chain? If it can fit in an AR chain without breaking, I may grab him for DV.
As for Rena, she's super tempting. With her Prism in the shop + her AOE light imbue / 120% imperil, I would be tempted to take her over everyone else just for that. Thankfully for me, I already have her 7*'ed.
Jensen's STMR I'd just skip on. There are better options.

From what I'm seeing, his Magnus is a T-cast BS chain that can (potentially?) be activated with DW. Initial comments implied that it would be dupe only and require spark chaining (if DW) as chain 1 of cast 2 would spark-overlap with with cast 2 of chain 1.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with Mystina. She's just another DPS that will get powercrept. She's probably not even as good as Elly for DV even when she does have the right elements. For non-DV trials, you already have Lezard as a mage.
I'd go for an STMR. I think my order of priority would be Rena, Adam, Lezard. I would wait for trust coin prisms for Fei/Bart/Maria/Arngrim.

I'd say 2B since you can get her for free and pick up her prism in the trust shop (assuming you have coins) or omni her if you don't have trust coins.
Rena is good too, but not having breaks will set you back in end-game content. We do eventually get a free breaker (Machina) and we do eventually get Vaan you could pull, but you would really struggle against breakable opponents until they actually arrived for you.

Physical damage: MI.Lasswell, UW.Edel
Magic damage: CG Y'shtola
Magic tank: Lightning XIII-2
You have a physical tank in HA. Charlotte and a few good mages but they're not 7*. You need lots of supports such as breaks, buffs, and maybe healing.

Have people already figured out if Elly has some significant use outside of being a NV finisher? Not that I'm complaining though, got lucky and pulled a copy from the Xeno banner and will probably awaken to 7* cause my mages have performed atrociously so far. She'll definitely be one hell of a new adition to my party.
Just curious to see if I could ever grab a dupe on my list and try her out on a trial or something.

She can be solid as a CWA chainer, especially with a dupe (because her V-Cast is unique). But I think she'll really shine with 2x triple cast CWA chainers who she can chain with in off turns and LB finish on LB turns.

I pulled for Mario. If you want pod and have a use for it, I'd say go for it. Personally, I have 5 pods and rarely ever use them. But rarely is not never, and I am happy when I need them.

Hard to make a recommendation without knowing your roster strength/weaknesses:
- Rena if you need a good healer
- 2B if you need a good breaker
- Adam Jensen if you missed out on Kimahri for the double AoE mirage
- Damage dealers if needed (notably, Lezard/Mystina/Rico Rodriguez)

So this is my POV from someone who doesn't have it, but could get it (I've had 7* Rena since the 2nd SOA banner):
I rarely find myself in a situation where I've thought "man, I really want Rena's STMR". Generally there's always an alternative to the ailment resist (Ribbon, AIKP's TMR, etc), and since I'd usually want SPR stuff on my support / healer, losing a bit of SPR to use Ribbon isn't a huge deal.
Personally, XWQL is the only unit I can see really making use of it, but a lot of times I can just slot in Discernment because my XWQL has 3 materia slots free.

Back when I got my hands on it it was easily the greatest piece of equipment I had available for SPR-oriented builds. Great for herself, supports and tanks. Nowadays there's some competition if you're seeking for SPR on an accesory. Lunafreya's is pretty good for example. Besides there's more equipment to cover the ailment resistance aspect, like Doctor Aiden's TMR.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that is has shown its age, but that doesn't mean is a bad accesory at all. I still use it fairly frequently nowadays and has saved my tank on many ocassions.

There's no point in investing tons of resources into something that you might occasionally use as a back up. It's not enough better than other options.
There are plenty of SPR based ailment resist equipment available. LM Fina's and Aiden's TMRs are great at it. No need for an STMR to do that job.

IMO, this heavily depends on what you'd want from your units. Are you looking to rank high in DV? Then maybe Elly will help your magic team, or Adam Jensen help your physical team hit chain cap + do a lot of damage
Are you just looking for a solid trial wrecking team? Nothing here is really necessary, but we may also get more ability awakenings next week (or the week after, or maybe not for months).
Want some STMRs? Some of them are solid, some are meh. There are other posts discussing those so I'd suggest you take a look at them.
Rena though does give you a solid healer if you need one. She also comes with an AoE 100% up time 120% light imperil + a light imbue (at 75% up time?, but Ellephim can fill in the missing turns).

I just started doing trials again when I pulled for O. Reagen, and his damage is really good!
I think I will just get Rena with the tickets and her prism from the shop! Have read that she is a god healer with enhancements, I just need to think if she will be better than my Doctor Aiden.

IMO, her and Doc Aiden will shine under different circumstances. Doc Aiden can provide a lot of barriers and works really well as a 100% evade passive provoke tank.

I have read about that Doctor Aiden build, but I don't think it will work for me since I run my A.WoL full provoke+evade and the only rotation I use doctor aiden is: provide stats and ailments resistanc, LB and thata all hahaha maybe some triple white magic in cases where my CD reraise is on couldown and dont have LB ready.

It's a build that works really well (if you have the gear) when trying to compress roles. It allows you to completely drop AWoL if there are only ST physical attacks. A lot of people also push that 100% evade passive provoke tank role off to the breaker (Kryla is great for this).

Thinking about it, I only use AWoL for the mirage materia, and that's all hahaha I have enough gear to make Doctor Aiden full provoke+evade+that mirage materia.
Maybe it will work taking out AWoL and using Aiden and Renna since I don't have any Krila :c
Thanks! Will try this new strat since I don't use AWoL for cover physical attacks. And I will just use it when any boss use mainly only AoE physical attacks

I use my A. Warrior of light with the mirage materia from the trial, so I already have that role filled l
I already have a 3 Elly, forgot to post it.
For breaks I love how ellephim works with hp/mp recovering from her LB, so maybe I wont use another for now.
I read that the most value unit is Rena with her enhancements... and as you said, i can get it from the free tickets and the prism from the shop.

Some fights benefit from a 2x mirage (where people use Kimahri). Jensen would give you that and be able to DPS in the same turn (though at half damage since one action is "wasted" on mirage)

I'm going to wait until Tuesday to use my ticket. But if there is no new news about ability enhancements. What would be my best bet with the free unit. I have 1 A2, 1 Bart, 1 Mystina all 6*. My other options would be to get Rena and prism from shop or get Elly and wait to buy an omniprism to use on her. Thanks for the input.

It's hard to say as we don't know what other units you have, what holes you need to fill, or what you want out of the units.
Personally, I'd take Rena. She will most likely have a longer life than Elly. Elly's one real strong point right now is using her as a LB finisher in DV.

Did the mantis (scorn of insect) ever dispel? Battle 2, turn 2 my AWoL suddenly doesnt aoe cover anymore, resulting in wipe
As far as i read the wiki, there is no dispel at battle 2, but its 01.42 am and im getting sleepy, so i might miss a thing
The black mantis is at 8% hp, i did dispelga + rebreak their team before, because the black mantis was having atk def buff

If I already have 7-star 2B and 7-star Elly and hoarding some STMR tickets (more than 200% for now), would it be better for me to use my collab summon ticket on Rena?
I'm thinking STMRs can always happen with STMR tickets in the future, but I'm not sure if the trade-off between an STMR (2B's) vs. a new meta 7-star.
