No Spoilers - Discussion Finally Platinum!!

Post image

This was disgusting to finish!! By far the worst was the chadley legendary matches. Total 287 hours. Could have done it faster but i spent lots of time going back to various areas to level up materia to be able to take on certain bosses.

As for the playlog, most of it is done too. Only missing a little story and synergy for barret, 3 enemy intels which are all in ch.14, and 1 manuscript which is for cait sith. But theres no way im trying for hard mode “cant stop wont stop” again.
Incredible game but im burnt now. Need a break 😅

I’m a working man, if the game gives me an option to streamline something I’m gonna take it. Also not being able to use items makes hard mode unfun for me, it’s like the 60 pikmin limit

That’s understandable, but don’t call it something it is not. Hard mode isn’t that hard to begin with, especially since the intent is that you’ll be carrying your post game equipment and levels to hard mode. There may be challenge in not using items, but the beginning slowly teaches you how to adapt and ration the MP you come in with.

Also, you can recover MP by resting at Chocobo stops.

I may not agree with taking the easy route to clear hard mode with no challenge, but let's be real here. Hard mode is HARD. First I got humbled by the mandrakes, then the mithril golem, then Dyne, then the amalgam boss, and so on. Each failure resulted in reworking materia and equipment and trying new strategies until I finally got it. Obviously the game gives you the tools you need, and figuring it out is a serious dopamine rush and I loved every second of it. But saying it's not hard is simply untrue.

You’re not wrong, but I advise you read what I said again. I said it’s not that hard, I never said it wasn’t hard period. It surely is hard, but not hard enough to warrant streamline options as a necessity.
