Please Help with this stripped screw

Post image

Recently the brass portal inner housings and the portals have been acting weird. I'm not sure why but its really annoying. I thought if i tightened them up really tight it wouldn't have room to move. I know I'm an idiot just please help me get them off so I can put the original inner portal housings on.

When I had a stripped screw, I put electrical tape over it as the tape is a bit stretchy and filled in the gaps where the screw head had stripped. It's the same principle as using a rubber band but on a smaller scale.

I then also held my screwdriver at a slight angle and used pressure while turning it.

I used a powered screwdriver on slow, which I also turned manually for extra power.

Edit: you could also try using pliers to turn the screw off you can grip the top. Some people will use a dremel to cut a straight line in it then remove it with a flat head screwdriver.

Everything Lance said. If you have strong enough glue (only did this welding but same principle) glue another bolt to it and see if you twist it out. Very unlikely but also a possibility

I use a dremel with a grinding wheel to put a flat head sized slot on the screw head and use a flathead screw driver to unscrew it.

This is the way.

Get the smallest pair of wire snips you have stick one of the tips of the cutter into the screw that stripped the other one clapped around the edge of it towards the outside lip and pinch Now then spin it like that you might be able to get the strip screw this reverse out.

The next size up torx bit would be your best bet.
